A Time For Action – This Independence Day!
July 2, 2008 by Capt. Karl
Fellow Americans,
Devvy is right. We need to start meeting together in person. We need to not only write e-mails, faxes, letters, call talk radio and submit letters to the editor.
The time has come to meet in person together to discuss our next course(s) of action under the “Liberty Tree”. I am totally fed up with the constitutionally contemptuous scofflaws and despots! I am mad as hell. Every time I fill up my fuel tank, read what the Senators, Representatives and Obama are planning in massive additional taxation as required by additional finacially ravinous social programs (Government, help, which is secret code for control, manipulation, oppression, tyranny, despotism and highway robbery of our earnings), I get even hotter! How about YOU?
How are we going to find other patriots in our towns and cities to gather with? We all know that there are a lot of idiots and fools out there who are willing to lose their money, their jobs, their cars, their homes and their freedom because it is easier to either sit on the couch and watch American Idol or go to bowling, softball, or pool league.
If you wish to lower the price of gasoline, heat, light, electricity, diesel, food and all the products you need to buy in order to be able to subsist and, far more importantly, to regain the FREEDOM (from Government) that was stolen from us by both houses of Congress, then we all have to get UP off of our damn lazy chairs, shut off the TV (unless you are learning something important to freedom and U.S. economics like on Glenn Beck), meet up in person and in person DO SOMETHING!
Devvy is right. Think about it. In order to find others of like mind to meet up with use www.samadamsalliance.org and sign up as a member. This organization and website/blog is specifically designed to help us find each other in our local communities. We must do this to get a core of The Brave out of their homes across our fruited plain to meet up in person with each other to talk and make plans. This is our constitutional right! Like many of us here at FS, we are just itching to do something for our country, our fellow countrymen and most especially for our FREEDOM and the prosperity it will bring to us all by getting the Socialists off our backs. So join up at: www.samadamsalliance.org
Now, listen folks, this weekend marks the most important event to ever take place in THE ENTIRE WORLD. It marks the first time WE fought and WON FREEDOM (from Government) anywhere in world history. 1776 with the advent of The Declaration of Independence, which We The People, drafted on our own behalf and handed to our Government, We The People Declared that we were FREE (from Government). We then wrote a set of laws on OUR new Government that ordained and established it which it has to OBEY or else! Those laws established that WE are the Masters and Government is our SERVANT to do our bidding. They don’t tell us what to do. It is not their place to make up laws that usurp our rights, our prosperity and most especially OUR FREEDOM!
Might I suggest and recommend that you and other patriots of like mind, as a highly patriotic Independence Day gesture, representing our most honored of American heroes, “The Sons of Liberty” who include those such as: Paul Revere, Thomas Young, Joseph Warren, Alexander McDougall, Patrick Henry, John Hancock, Isaac Sears, John Lamb, James Otis, Marinus Willett, John Adams, and his cousin, Samuel Adams, and in most patriotic of traditions, scout out a suitable “Liberty Tree” well in sight of the public, and hang an effigy or three.
Perhaps a suitable facsimile of somebody you know who said “You will be allowed more permits to drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico over my dead body.” Well who are we to deny? Here is a hint of who said that: http://captkarl.blogivists.com/2008/06/21/harry-reid-found-the-cheap-gas-solution-then-banned-it/
You can find cheap clothing at your local Good Will store which will make for great Independence Day stuffers. Oh, and you can purchase fake glasses at the dime store. A little rope and some newspaper for stuffing and you should have a great 4th of July display
that will arouse great cheer from anybody who doesn’t appreciate using a C-NOTE to buy gasoline to fill the tank and not getting back any change. And for further public education and awareness I think it would be good to attach a sign declaring your tree as “The Liberty Tree” of your community! After the initial ruckus is over I might suggest you hang a few oil lanterns from the branches, make sure “The Liberty Tree” sign is still attached and gather people to talk about the price of gasoline, heat, light, electricity and food and how all this has occurred because the U.S. Government, particularly both houses of Congress, refuse to obey the Constitution. You might also like to mention that not a penny of their Income Taxes goes to the U.S. Government. That every penny goes to the privately held FEDERAL RESERVE for their use under the guise of “interest”. You might also mention that the U.S. Government has to BEG the private bank for OUR INCOME TAX money for EVERYTHING it isn’t supposed to be spending money on anyway at MORE INTEREST. And you might also mention that because THE FEDERAL RESERVE is a PRIVATE COMPANY they don’t have to lend our INCOME TAX money to the U.S. Government, if they don’t “feel” like it. Like, for example, if the U.S. Government doesn’t behave the way the forty owners of The Federal Reserve “advises”. It is time for us all to gather IN PERSON and do something about it!
Oh, don’t forget to hang a sign around the neck of your display; “Americans, you will drill for more oil over my dead body!” Oh, and make sure to have an accurate image. Perhaps it might be most accurate to make sure you have the finger gesture up so that you depict your image accurately, as shown in the picture as he is making the speech, so that the representative is not taken out of context. After all, we don’t want to misrepresent the honorable Senator as to how he cares about the Land of The FREE and The Home of the Brave, on “Independence Day” now do we?
As another idea, so your “Liberty Tree” display can be enjoyed by all, an anonymous call “tip” to your local newspaper and/or TV station might be in order. After all, it is Independence Day and it is quite fitting to be patriotic!
· When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. – Thomas Jefferson
A picture or three of your display posted here, during the weekend, would be quite appreciated and be of good cheer for all of us here, at The Green Dragon, ready with a raised tankard!
A toast, my fellow patriots, to Independence Day, to The Sons of Liberty and, most especially, to FREEDOM!
- I have no fear that the result of our experiment will be that men may be trusted to govern themselves without a master. – Thomas Jefferson
