NEWS FLASH – - – Story Developing.

Capt. Karl, the main writer for The Liberty Tree Lantern, had his two Sons 9 and 11, taken from him Tuesday afternoon when they were snatched by a Social Worker of Marinette County Health and Human Services from the Peshtigo Elementary Learning Center when school finished just before they were to be getting on the bus to go home.

Late afternoon on Tuesday we, my wife and I, got a call from the local HHS Social Worker who said that she had our two children Drake and Drew at the Sheriff’s Department.

 To make a long story short Sue and I went over there and the Social Worker said that she was either going to place our children in a foster home or Sue could go with them to the Rainbow House.

The reasons the Social Worker gave to me:

•  As a discipline measure for Drew 9 going on 10,  fighting with Drake and not cooperating he broke a special plastic ornament box, I had him take money and start walking to Menards to buy a replacement.  Menards is about 4 miles away and after about an hour of Drew walking thinking as to what he had done and why it happened, I was going to pick him up anyway.   We live on rather quite country roads.
• A teacher from Drew’s school saw him walking and he told her what was up.  She called our house as I was finishing up a few small projects and was about to leave and she told Sue she would take Drew the rest of the way to Menards where I met them and picked up Drew.  Apparently the teacher called HHS.
• The Social Worker said that I watch too much news, talk radio and on the Internet too much and I am too involved with all of these matters.  She said there is nothing I can do about it anyway.
• She said that my wife told her that sometimes I’ll be reading something of national or international news or be watching something on a news program and I’ll yell at the computer monitor in my office which is also a TV.  So this is another reason why she is taking my children away during Christmas.
• The Social Worker also mentioned a list of positions / beliefs / principles and values that I believe in that she does not.  When she said that she does not agree with me on those things, after each item of the list she said “but that’s okay, we don’t have to agree on these things.”
• She said that I make the kids watch the news.  If I “made” them watch the news it would have been only perhaps a very short segment of perhaps 3 or four times.  The only thing I actually ever had Drake sit down and watch are a DVD set by a teacher who teaches the 28 Freedom Principles established in The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution and is in fact the set put out by the National Center for Constitutional Studies (NCCS).  I believe that that is the only thing that the Social Worker could possibly be talking about.  The only other news like thing that I have had my boys watch are freedom and liberty clips on Youtube from time to time.

Sue is now at the Rainbow House in Marinette, as she wanted to stay with the kids.  She tried talking to me Tuesday night for awhile and a person at the Rainbow House made her hang up her cell phone.  When Sue asked if Drake and Drew could talk with me on the phone and say goodnight the person said absolutely not.  During the telephone conversation Sue told me that the Social Worker threatened her that if she does not cooperate with them they will take our children away from her too.

Sue and I had plans to take our boys and visit with her mother at Rennes Health Care Center where her mother resides this morning when they have a very nice Christmas Eve program with music and presents.  I went over there and had a wonderful visit with my mother-in-law that is, to me, like my very own mother.  She thanked me over and over again for coming to visit with her for Christmas and thanked me for always being so helpful and so nice to her.  Sue and my two boys never showed up to visit with Grandma at the Christmas special.

My Daughter Tracia, 26 years old and going to UW Milwaukee to be a medical technician, just called and said she stopped by the Rainbow House a few minutes ago and despite the fact that my wife’s pickup is parked right outside there, the person who answered the door said wait a minute and closed and locked the door, was gone for almost ten minutes and then finally came back to the door and said that if these people were here they couldn’t let her know.  That was when Traci said well that’s Sue’s pickup right there they mustn’t be too far away.  Traci asked the person; “Can’t I even say Merry Christmas to my brothers?”  And the person responded by saying even if they were here she could not and was turned away.

Traci, some of you might remember her at the large assembly of delegates from the 50 Wisconsin Patriot groups that we had in Oconomowoc at the Olympia Resort in November, said that she is planning on getting her two older brothers, Jason (32 and a Physical Therapist at Bay Area Medical Center) and Ryan (30) Koenigs and see if they as a group can see their two brothers to say Merry Christmas to them at the Rainbow House this afternoon or early evening.

 Sue, my wife, does want me to not fight “city hall” so to speak and she just wants to pretend that nothing bad is going on by way of the US Government or our State of Wisconsin Government.   We have been getting along quite well actually.  She just wants me to virtually ignore what is happening to our country and not even think about it.  So she probably didn’t help the situation a whole lot either.  But that still shouldn’t give HHS the right to take my children away for Christmas because I was having Drew walk to Menards (which I wasn’t even going to let him do the whole thing regardless).

The Social Worker said that they would be contacting me yesterday to make some sort of “plan”.  This Social Worker from HHS didn’t call until 5:10 P.M. last night when she left a message on my answering machine, I was on away on other business engagements at the time and on my way back home, when she said “Well I guess I will be talking to you on Monday”.   When at the Sheriff’s Department she said that there will be a court hearing on Monday (which is of course after Christmas) .   I believe they are going to either force me to give up the fight And, in addition, not watch, listen or read the news or I will not be able to have my children back.  As it stands I don’t know when I’ll see my children again.  We are very close.  Some of you in the Wisconsin Patriot groups, you will remember when I had them at the Appleton and Sheboygan Tea Parties and they were holding the Gadsden Flag and the Washington Cruisers Flag which has a picture of a Pine Tree and the words “Appeal To Heaven” .  We do everything together like canoeing, fishing, camping, hunting with Drake, swimming, skin diving, golfing, we do everything as a family.  We even eat all of our meals together, except when they are at school or I am away on business, as a family.  We are VERY close and very loving.  Wisconsin HHS is apparently trying to change that.  I guess I’ll need to make my own “Appeal To Heaven” this Christmas.

If  HHS is going to take everybody’s children away who are in our WI Patriot groups consisting of over 100,000 Wisconsinites, they better get busy.  I suspect that all of us patriots, who watch, listen and read the news, yell at our TV sets from time to time.  If she thinks it is bad when I watch the news and yell at the TV, she should see me when I watch the Green Bay Packers. 

If you have children, you better not be watching, reading, or listening to the news or talk radio.  And, you sure better not be doing anything to try stop whatever you believe Government is doing wrong by being an activist or a blogger.  Or HHS will get your children next.  Especially in Marinette County, WI.

Things seem to be defusing somewhat.  I have spoken more with the Social Worker and have been able to meet and talk with my wife and children today.  It appears that the HHS Department had completely unjustified thoughts that I was some kind of threat to all of mankind.  So far it seems that since the Social Worker has been able to talk and meet with me these silly concerns are being abated.  The Social Worker is also indicating that this is not political in nature and these concerns, too, are starting to be abated on my part.  There does seem to have been a major misconception at the HHS Dept.  I will be adding to this news article as things develop.  Hopefully our family life can get back to some sense of normalcy soon.  For now, however, my children and my wife are not at home.  We have a court date on January 11.
