Mr. Summers, the director of the National Economic Council, wields important influence over Mr. Obama’s policy decisions for the troubled financial industry, including firms from which he recently received payments.

Last year, he reported making 40 paid appearances, including a $135,000 speech to the investment firm Goldman Sachs, in addition to his earnings from the hedge fund, a sector the administration is trying to regulate.

“The truth is that they don’t surround us at all,” Beck said, referencing the “Wizard of Oz” lie. The general tone and belief in the country notwithstanding, he said, Americans are not powerless to halt the nation’s drift, nor are their voices too quiet to be heard.

“So, how do we show America what’s really behind the curtain?” he asks.

First, agree on the values and principles that are important, he said.

Now you multiply that by at least 4 for all the bailouts, porkulus, and Universal Health Care, PLUS another 90 time that for Social Security and Medicare ALONE and now you know how much money the U.S. Government is going to take out of your earnings, you children’s earnings and you grandchildren’s earnings. What are you going to tell your grandchildren why you, a FREE man or woman, who has control over our Government by way of the LAWS of The Constitution, to get away with this?

On April 21, 2008, Representative Charles B. Rangel met with officials of the American International Group, the now-troubled insurance giant, to ask for a donation to a school of public service that City College of New York was building in his honor.

Mr. Rangel had already helped secure a $5 million pledge for the project from a foundation controlled by Maurice R. Greenberg, one of the company’s largest shareholders and its former chief executive. And C.C.N.Y. officials, according to the school’s own records, had high hopes for A.I.G. — a donation of perhaps as much as $10 million.

The company has never made a contribution

CNBC’s Rick Santelli this morning at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange
With tongue only partially in cheek, a CNBC analyst on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange this morning responded to President Obama’s proposed $275 billion deficit-financed homeowner bailout plan and other massive spending measures with a call for a new “tea party.”

Rick Santelli, in a nearly three-minute rant that drew approving hoots and comments from nearby traders, said the Obama administration’s promotion of bad behavior must be causing the founding fathers to roll over in their graves.

Fox News, Glenn Beck Program, just reported that the average UAW employee makes $154.00 per hour when you add in all the benefits. You make $154.00 per too hour don’t you?

Well our U.S. Government feels that the UAW is too BIG to fail and those wages and benefits are making our big three automakers non-competitive and their vehicles too expense to purchase for the average American (imagine that!).

Surprise Surprise guess who are back to take more out of our paychecks, again. Yep you may have guessed it, GM and Chrysler. They are planning on taking another 22 BILLION Dollars out of our future paychecks.

The UAW is standing tall and tough, man! THEY are demanding that they be able to take money out of our personal individual future paychecks and use it to pay for their high wages and most especially their Cadillac Health Care Insurance program and their king’s ransom pension program that way back in 2005 was over 10 BILLION Dollars in UNFUNDED debt and today is likely 3 times that. The UAW and the Automakers need our earnings to pay for these UAW “legacy” entitlements. Without the exceptional wages, benefits and insane pensions the Automakers would be significantly profitable and be able to keep many thousands employed.

New York’s Charles Rangel and five other Democratic members of the House enjoyed a trip to the Caribbean sponsored in part by Citigroup (see above) in November – after Congress had approved the $700 bailout for financial firms (including Citigroup).

The members no doubt will object to the terms “junket,” but that shoe fits. The National Legal and Policy Center, a watchdog group, has asked Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) to investigate the Nov. 6-9 excursion to the island of St. Maarten.

What do you call a person who stands up in front of national TV and declares “A new course” and “no lobbyists” need apply and then in less than two weeks Miss Rachel Maddow, a liberal talk-show host for MSNBC on January 30th finds it necessary to blast Mr. Obama for having former lobbyists in his administration, saying that his campaign-trail promise that lobbyists would not run his White House “sounded great” but she now finds that it isn’t true.
