<p>U.S. House <a id="KonaLink0" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span>hearings</span></span></a> are scheduled to start a week from now on a proposal from <a href="http://www.house.gov/paul">U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas,</a> to <a id="KonaLink1" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span>audit</span></span></a> the Federal Reserve, which oversees U.S. monetary policy, and the congressman believes the plan actually could become <a id="KonaLink2" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span>law</span></span></a> this time.</p>
<p>Paul, who has sponsored similar legislation on and off since the 1980s, during this Congress for the first time is seeing significant support for the idea of looking into the actions of the decision-makers who set interest rates and take myriad other actions that affect Americans&#8217; financial well-being.</p>
<p>The Federal Reserve, an independent organization apart from the U.S. government, largely has operated behind a veil of secrecy for decades, but Paul told WND today that <a id="KonaLink3" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span>its </span><span>operations</span></span></a> could be about to face the light of day.</p>
<p>&#8220;We have 289 cosponsors for the bill, including 111 Democrats and all of the Republicans, so we&#8217;re doing well,&#8221; he told WND. &#8220;It&#8217;s been referred to the <a id="KonaLink4" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">financial </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">services</span></span></a> committee, and [Chairman Rep.] Barney Frank said he&#8217;s willing to move it along.&#8221;</p>
<p>Frank was the one who scheduled hearings on the proposal to start Sept. 25.</p>
<p><a href="http://financialservices.house.gov/">According to a schedule</a> posted on the website of the committee, &#8220;Oversight and Audit Issues at the Federal Reserve&#8221; will be discussed on that day.</p>
<p>Paul long has been a critic of the secrecy of the Federal Reserve.</p>

<p>&#8220;Throughout its nearly 100-year history, the Federal Reserve has presided over the near-complete destruction of the United States dollar,&#8221; he said earlier. &#8220;Since 1913, the dollar has lost over 95 percent of its purchasing power, aided and abetted by the Federal Reserve&#8217;s loose monetary policy.&#8221;</p>
<p>He said the recent economic circumstances are helping generate support, and there are a multitude of questions that eventually could be answered.</p>
<p>For example, who made the decision to help Goldman Sachs and let Lehman Brothers fail? Was there a personal agenda? Who decided how much money to give <a id="KonaLink5" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span style="border-bottom: blue 1px solid;background-color: transparent;font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">General </span><span style="border-bottom: blue 1px solid;background-color: transparent;font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">Motors</span></span></a>? What about the money deals the Federal Reserve cuts with other nations? Who are the beneficiaries?</p>
<p>The Fed has &#8220;more money than Congress,&#8221; Paul said, citing the need to uncover the &#8220;international shenanigans, deals with other central banks, as well as financial institutions and <a id="KonaLink6" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">corporations</span></span></a>.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s going to be a lot of yelling and screaming before this is over,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>&#8220;In the last year, I am sure they have been very much involved in the gold market,&#8221; he said.</p>

<p>Federal Reserve officials, meanwhile, are &#8220;fighting tooth and <a id="KonaLink7" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">nail</span></span></a>&#8221; against releasing any information sought under several lawsuits already in the court systems, he said.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=108262">WND recently reported that the Fed,</a> despite being ordered to disclose to whom it awarded some $2 trillion in discount &#8220;stimulus&#8221; <a id="KonaLink8" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">loans</span></span></a>, continues its fight for secrecy.</p>
<p>When a U.S. district court judge rejected the Fed&#8217;s argument that the names of borrowers are exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act and ordered the board to release the information, the board appealed.</p>
<p>Revealing that information, the secret organization argued, could lead to a backlash from bank customers and stockholders.</p>
<p>&#8220;What has the Fed got to hide?&#8221; asked Vermont Sen. Bernie <a id="KonaLink9" href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=110011#" target="_top"><span style="color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', Georgia, Serif;color: blue !important;font-size: 17px;font-weight: 400">Sanders</span></span></a> in an e-mail about the case. &#8220;The time has come for the Fed to stop stonewalling and hand this information over to the public.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;They don&#8217;t want anybody to bother them. I don&#8217;t think they want us to know,&#8221; Paul told WND.</p>
<p>&#8220;To understand how unwise it is to have the Federal Reserve, one must first understand the magnitude of the privileges they have,&#8221; Paul wrote in a recent Straight Talk commentary. &#8220;They have been given the power to create money, by the trillions, and to give it to their friends, under any terms they wish, with little or no meaningful oversight or accountability.&#8221;</p>
<p>Frank only weeks ago told Fox News that the Fed probably is heading for &#8220;a complete audit.&#8221;</p>
<p>He said the bill would reveal to the public what the organization buys or sells.</p>
<p>Paul said his legislation, because of its majority support, could be brought up as a separate plan but then might have more hurdles in the Senate and could even face a veto from President Obama.</p>
<p>He said a more logical scenario is including it in a package of proposals now being developed to correct problems revealed in the recent economic downturn that would include a variety of other consumer protections.</p>

Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their &#8220;right&#8221; to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our &#8220;democracy&#8221;. Pride blind the foolish.</p>

<p align="justify">Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different &#8220;branches and denominations&#8221; were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the &#8220;winning&#8221; side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the &#8220;winning&#8221; side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.</p>

<p align="justify">The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America&#8217;s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.</p>

<p align="justify">These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?</p>
<p>These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.</p>
<p align="justify">Then came Barack Obama&#8217;s command that GM&#8217;s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of &#8220;pure&#8221; free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.</p>

<p align="justify">So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a &#8220;bold&#8221; move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK&#8217;s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our &#8220;wise&#8221; Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.</p>

<p align="justify">Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper&#8230;but a &#8220;freeman&#8221; whimper.</p>

<p align="justify">So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set &#8220;fair&#8221; maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.</p>

<p align="justify">The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.</p>

Our tax dollars at work, "voluntarily", even when our economy is going to hell in a hand basket and we are beginning to wonder where we are going to house our own children and where our next meal might come from! <p><span style="color: #ff0000"><span style="color: #000000">It states in the Internal Revenue Service Code that Income Taxes are &#8220;VOLUNTARY&#8221;.  In addition the following link is a recent video of Senator Harry Reid stating for the record that Income Taxes are &#8220;VOLUNTARY&#8221;. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #800000"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">AND forward a link of this blog to everybody.</span>   Where else is anybody going to learn that we have been living in a REAL (FINANCIAL)  &#8220;Matrix&#8221; just like in the movie.   &#8220;The Matrix&#8221; is what most call &#8220;OUR ECONOMY&#8221;.   Our economy is supported by The Dollar.   The Dollar have printed on them what they really are  FEDERAL RESERVE &#8220;NOTES&#8221;.  A  &#8220;NOTE&#8221; is nothing more than a &#8220;promise&#8221; to pay back the holder with &#8220;real&#8221; money in the future; an I.O.U.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000"><strong>Trillions of Dollars have been / are being printed out of thin air.  How can wealth and blessings of wealth be printed out of thin air and the value of it be sustained.  IT ISN&#8217;T POSSIBLE!</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000"><strong>Our economy, better to be understood using the term: &#8220;The Matrix&#8221;,  only exists in our minds because our minds have been programmed to believe that the Dollar is worth a Dollar while in &#8220;REALITY&#8221; it represents little more than any paper and ink that comes out of your home printer.  How would you like to be able to print money out of your home printer and be able to use that money for whatever you wanted and give or borrow, at interest or no interest, however much you wanted to whoever you wanted?</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000"><strong>The FEDERAL RESERVE &#8220;SYSTEM&#8221; is a cartel of twelve private banks which are owned and entirely controlled by forty mostly foreign mega-powerful persons.  Congress Constitutionally illegally gave &#8220;The FED&#8221;, which is as &#8220;Federal&#8221; as Federal Express, the ability and the authority to print as much money as they want for whatever reason they want, so that the Federal Government would have the ability to have limitless borrowing to grow far beyond the authority and laws written in OUR Constitution.  Our Income taxes go Directly from IRS collection centers and are given to THE FEDERAL RESERVE company to pay &#8220;interest&#8221; on the Government borrowed money.  NONE of our Income Taxes goes to the Treasury and NONE of our Income Taxes are used for the things that Government spends money on.  It all goes to THE FEDERAL RESERVE company for their own personal purposes in the form of profits from interest on The Public Debt.  They lend some of our Income Tax money to the U.S. Government because this private company believes it is a good risk and has a good return on investment of &#8216;THEIR MONEY&#8221;.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000"><strong>We have to let &#8220;The MATRIX&#8221; collapse.  Yes that is exactly the same as saying, We have to let our ECONOMY collapse.  This is also the same as saying we have to let the prison of our minds collapse, because without TRUE freedom of our minds and true freedom in REALITY we can not ever have TRUE individual prosperity.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000"><strong>Besides letting our economy collapse, we must FORCE the U.S. Government to OBEY the laws WE THE PEOPLE did establish and ordain as written in The Constitution, to the Word, Spirit and Intent as it WAS meant before any legalize spin or judicial activism by The Supreme Court.  And, we must revisit any Amendments, that were claimed by any lying Secretary of State, such as Secretary Philanderer Knox, to have been ratified.  The 16th Amendment would be a good first one to take a good and thorough looksie at the ORIGINAL &#8220;STATE Certified&#8221; documents from the States.   <span style="color: #ff0000"><em>THIS IS ONE ITEM THAT THE <span style="text-decoration: underline">AMERICAN PEOPLE MUST FIGHT FOR</span> TO HAVE DONE, SO WE CAN GET <span style="color: #800000">OUR FREEDOM, OUR REAL ECONOMY, OUR MONEY AND OUR PERSONAL PROPERTY BACK</span>!  </em></span></strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #800000"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000"><em><span style="color: #800000">Just think of how God will bless America once more when he creates the &#8220;real&#8221; wealth and not a private company called THE FEDERAL RESERVE and we honor and pray to him for our individual prosperity and economy instead of praying to our almighty Government with our hands out begging to them.  What has happened to us and our honor that we would beg the U.S. Government for handouts?  What has happened to us when we pray to Government for blessings, food and housing instead of to God?  <span style="color: #0000ff">What has happened to us when we honestly believe that a private company called The Federal Reserve can create wealth and prosperity for us from printing presses and then, in the end, not have to pay for it out of our own property and sweat in the form of <span style="color: #ff0000">slavery through taxation</span>?  We must have gone mad!  <span style="color: #800000">No, actually, we let public schools, the main stream media, the U.S. Government and The Federal Reserve and their Trilateral Commission, use a technique called &#8220;Mass Behavior Modification&#8221; on our minds.   We started to believe all of this stuff and we let them remove God from the equation of life and our lives.  We must get ourselves de-programmed so that we can live in TRUE freedom and procure the actual blessings of a loving God and NOT the cold hands of the U.S. Government being controlled by a humongous privately held corporation called THE FEDERAL RESERVE &#8220;SYSTEM&#8221; that created &#8220;The MATRIX&#8221; (our ECONOMY that only exists in our minds and that which is Godless as it is made up of little more than printers ink and paper).</span></span></span></em></span></strong></span></p>

<li>Continued viability of systemically important banks is vital.  <span style="color: #0000ff">In layman&#8217;s language that means that all governments need to continue to raise withholding and payroll taxes on all working people to give to big banks.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000">Treasury and The Fed will take any necessary steps to ensure banks have enough capital and liquidity. <span style="color: #0000ff">This means that they will continue to take as much ADDITIONAL money out of our future earnings as they need to give to big banks.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000">Reform of U.S. Financial System should be &#8220;COORDINATED GLOBALLY&#8221;.<span style="color: #0000ff">  This means that their should be a One World Government so that no American or anybody else in the world has a place to run to to protect their INDIVIDUAL earnings, property or freedom from the Government or the Banks.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000">Bernanke: Regulators Must insist banks can monitor and manage risks in a timely manner. <span style="color: #0000ff">This means that Big banks should have the authority to dig into the private affairs of private lives and businesses and even tell them what to do if they feel like it.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000">Calls for &#8220;CONSOLIDATED SUPERVISION&#8221; of all systemically important financial institutions by The Federal Reserve company.  <span style="color: #0000ff">This means that The Fed, the largest most powerful private corporation in the world, should have ultimate control over all banks that hold the individual banking accounts of Americans.</span></span><span style="color: #000000"><span style="color: #0000ff"> and eventually all accounts throughout the world.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000">U.S. also needs to supervise all systemically important non-bank financial firms.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000">FED focusing on contingency plan for two clearing banks that handle Repos.  <span style="color: #0000ff">This means that The Fed is working to setup two Big Banks to take what you own in property when you go broke from the future ADDITIONAL taxation of your earnings, which will be 80 &#8211; 90% of the common working man&#8217;s paycheck.  The vast amount of GDP wealth resides with the Hundreds of Millions of the average working class in America; therefore, The FED, the private company who &#8220;profits&#8221; through the collection of ALL INCOME TAXES paid in the United States, which THEY collect through the IRS, according to The 1983 Grace Commission Report to President Reagan, will receive your personal property through these two banks when you all go broke from taxation, which will occur with in three years or so.</span></span></li>

Here are a set of people, for instance, who have bestowed on us the great blessing of running in our debt about two hundred millions of dollars, without our knowing who they are, where they are, or what property they have to pay this debt when called on; nay, who have made us so sensible of the blessings of letting them run in our debt, that we have exempted them by law from the repayment of these debts beyond a give proportion (generally estimated at one-third). And to fill up the measure of blessing, instead of paying, they receive an interest on what they owe from those to whom they owe; for all the notes, or evidences of what they owe, which we see in circulation, have been lent to somebody on an interest which is levied again on us through the medium of commerce. But less than a month after Mr. Rangel met with its officials, the company turned to the congressman for help: A senior A.I.G. executive who had attended the fund-raising meeting wrote a letter directly to Mr. Rangel, chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, urging him to support a provision of a tax bill that would save A.I.G. millions of dollars a year, according to Joseph M. Norton, a company spokesman.</p>

<p>Mr. Rangel’s exchange with A.I.G. last spring appears to be at odds with the public statements he has made since his fund-raising for the school became an issue. When his approach to A.I.G. was first reported in The Washington Post in July, Mr. Rangel said that he could not recall any issues his committee might have considered in which A.I.G. had an interest.</p>
<p>“I can’t think of one piece of legislation that impacts them, and there has never been a time that they’ve raised any legislation to me,” the paper quoted Mr. Rangel as saying. Indeed, in Mr. Rangel’s formal submission to the House ethics committee, asking it to review his use of Congressional stationery in soliciting money for the school, he wrote, “So far as I am aware, none of those whom I wrote had any pending requests into my office, lobbied me regarding any legislation before my committee, or asked me for assistance on legislation in which they had a special interest.”</p>
<p>Mr. Rangel, who had opposed the tax change A.I.G. was seeking — part of a much bigger piece of legislation — ultimately allowed it to be added to a bill he sponsored. Mr. Rangel’s aides, and fellow Democrats on the Ways and Means Committee, say that he agreed to the bill only after being persuaded by other members of Congress that it would help an array of American companies weather the economic uncertainty.</p>
<p>After Mr. Rangel’s office was asked in recent days about the letter from A.I.G., Janice Mays, counsel to the Ways and Means Committee, said a search of the committee’s records had not turned up a copy of it. But she said Mr. Rangel had already changed his mind about the tax provision before A.I.G. says it sent him the letter.</p>
<p>Federal statutes and House ethics rules forbid members of Congress from asking for anything of value from a person or company with business before them.</p>
<p>Ms. Mays said those rules did not prohibit members of Congress from raising money for nonprofit organizations, even from people or companies with interests before the government. And she said Mr. Rangel’s representation to the ethics committee last summer concerned only those instances in which he had written to potential donors on Congressional stationery, not those he might have met with personally in seeking donations.</p>
<p>A review of Congressional records indicate that A.I.G. had interests in a number of issues before Mr. Rangel — both prior to Mr. Greenberg’s gift and the congressman’s solicitation of A.I.G., and afterward.</p>
<p>Records kept by the Clerk of the House of Representatives indicate that during the past two years, A.I.G. has paid lobbyists to push for changes in at least 10 bills that have been handled by the Ways and Means Committee, including the <a title="More articles about the credit crisis bailout plan." href="http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/subjects/c/credit_crisis/bailout_plan/index.html?inline=nyt-classifier"><span style="color: #004276">$700 billion bailout bill</span></a> that passed in October to stabilize the financial markets.</p>
<p>A.I.G. lobbyists, the records show, pushed for legislative items that would lower taxes on various life insurance products, offer foreign tax credits to multinational corporations and lower the corporate tax rate. The company’s financial services arm hired lobbyists to oppose a push to tax private equity income at a higher rate and to shape new reporting requirements for investment firms.</p>
<p>And because A.I.G. does business around the globe, the company also lobbied on trade issues, which are handled by the Ways and Means Committee.</p>
<p>The available public record shows that A.I.G. prevailed in some of its lobbying efforts and failed in others.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Asked two weeks ago to provide a detailed accounting of Mr. Rangel’s dealings with A.I.G. officials and lobbyists regarding legislation during the past two years, the congressman’s spokesman and lawyer have said they are unable to complete such a time-consuming task during the holidays. And they challenged the fairness of the request.</p>
<p>The New York Times this week sought a response from Mr. Rangel himself about whether, in general terms, he had any reservations about seeking the money and meeting with A.I.G. officials, and a major shareholder, given what the record suggests were the company’s interests before his committee.</p>
<p>Ms. Mays wrote on Friday: “The law expressly permits members of Congress to engage in fund-raising activity on behalf of nonprofits such as C.C.N.Y. and recognizes that donations will inevitably coincide with legislative activity.”</p>
<p>Ms. Mays said the $10 million figure contained in C.C.N.Y. records as the possible size of an A.I.G. contribution represented “an appropriate request” at that time “given the company’s other support for nonprofit educational activities.”</p>
<p>Mr. Norton, the A.I.G. spokesman, said there was no connection of any kind between Mr. Rangel’s bid for a donation and the company’s lobbying on the tax matter.</p>
<p>A.I.G., one of the world’s 20 largest corporations, has been at the center of several public crises during the past year.</p>
<p>In September, the company received an $85 billion federal bailout when its possible bankruptcy threatened to further undermine the teetering economy. Two months later, after an intensive lobbying effort involving the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve, terms of that financial rescue were enhanced and the amount of federal money involved swelled to $150 billion.</p>
<p>Details of the bailout have been negotiated primarily by the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve. Mr. Rangel’s aides have said he played no role in the bargaining. Democratic Congressional leaders who have been consulted by the Treasury Department about how much government assistance A.I.G. should receive and how the bailout should be structured said the congressman’s aides were correct.</p>
<p>“To say that Chairman Rangel has had minimal involvement in the bailout negotiations would be overstating things,” said Representative <a title="More articles about Barney Frank" href="http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/f/barney_frank/index.html?inline=nyt-per"><span style="color: #004276">Barney Frank</span></a>, Democrat of Massachusetts and chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.</p>
<p>Mr. Greenberg, who has clashed publicly and in lawsuits with the executives who succeeded him after he was forced out of A.I.G. in 2005, has been highly visible as the company’s problems have made it a ward of the federal government.</p>
<p>Mr. Greenberg has not returned repeated telephone calls over the past month requesting an interview about his dealings with Mr. Rangel and his donation to C.C.N.Y. A spokesman for C. V. Starr, the investment fund headed by Mr. Greenberg, said last week that Mr. Greenberg was out of the country and could not be reached.</p>
<p>Mr. Rangel’s spokesman on the Ways and Means Committee declined to say whether the congressman had spoken with Mr. Greenberg about his strategy to persuade federal officials to revise the tax-funded rescue plan, but said in an e-mail message, “The bailout appears to have done nothing to benefit Mr. Greenberg as a shareholder, with the value of A.I.G. stock dropping from $60 at the beginning of the year to $1.50 a share.”</p>
<p>At a news conference last summer, Mr. Rangel said that he and Mr. Greenberg had forged a friendship based on their service in the Korean War, during which both men were awarded a Bronze Star for valor.</p>
<p>So in July 2006, when Mr. Rangel wrote to 100 philanthropic organizations seeking support for the C.C.N.Y. project, one was sent to an administrator at the Starr Foundation, where Mr. Greenberg serves as the chairman. The foundation did not make a donation in 2006, according to C.C.N.Y. officials. In March 2007, two months after Mr. Rangel had been elevated to Ways and Means chairman, he wrote a letter directly to Mr. Greenberg, using his Congressional stationery.</p>
<p>By the end of the year, Mr. Greenberg had pledged $5 million, by far the largest contribution to a project that has raised $11 million to date.</p>
<p>Ms. Mays said the Starr Foundation had a “well-established record of charitable giving,” and was “a logical potential source of funding for C.C.N.Y.”</p>

<p>In 2008, Mr. Rangel participated in a meeting with officials at A.I.G., to ask for their support. Mr. Norton, the A.I.G. spokesman, said that the purpose of the meeting was to ask whether A.I.G. would make a financial contribution to C.C.N.Y., although he did not know whether a specific dollar figure was discussed. Mr. Rangel and the C.C.N.Y. officials left the meeting without a commitment.</p>
<p>But several weeks later, in a letter dated May 13, Edward T. Cloonan, the highest-ranking A.I.G. official who attended the fund-raising meeting with Mr. Rangel, wrote to the congressman asking him to support the extension of a tax provision designed to help American-based multinational companies lower their obligation to the I.R.S., which was set to expire. Mr. Rangel, who had announced plans to add an array of “tax extenders” to an energy bill he was preparing to introduce that month, opposed extending the specific measure Mr. Cloonan and A.I.G. were lobbying for.</p>
<p>The measure, known as the “subpart F active financing exception,” would benefit a broad coalition of American companies, including hundreds of financial services firms, and according to estimates by the nonpartisan Joint Taxation Committee would cost the Treasury $3.97 billion in revenue in 2009 and 2010. A.I.G., which Congressional records indicate spent more than $9.5 million on lobbying in 2008, had its own lobbyists and three outside firms pushing to extend the measure.</p>
<p>By early May 2008, concern about the damage that American businesses would suffer if the tax break was allowed to expire had grown so great that Democrats on the Ways and Means Committee held two meetings to ask Mr. Rangel to extend it.</p>
<p>Representative Joseph Crowley, a Democrat from Queens, said he pressed the issue because it helped <a title="More information about Citigroup Incorporated" href="http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/business/companies/citigroup_inc/index.html?inline=nyt-org"><span style="color: #004276">Citigroup</span></a>, a major employer in his district. At least two committee caucus meetings to discuss many aspects of the legislation followed — on May 7 and May 13 — and Mr. Rangel relented, Mr. Crowley said, and agreed to extend the measure for one year.</p>
<p>“While Chairman Rangel opposed extending the provision this year, a majority of the Democrats on the Ways and Means Committee supported doing so and the chairman listened to his membership,” Congressman Crowley said in an e-mailed statement.</p>
<p>On the date of the second caucus meeting, Mr. Cloonan wrote to Mr. Rangel, according to Mr. Norton. “We urge the Ways and Means Committee to include the tax provision commonly known as subpart F exception for active financing income in the current round of tax extenders legislation,” the letter said, according Mr. Norton.</p>
<p>Mr. Crowley’s spokeswoman said the congressman was unaware A.I.G. had written Mr. Rangel about the matter and had thought that “due to other distractions, A.I.G. was not active in lobbying the issue.”</p>
<p>The spokeswoman, Angela Barranco, in a statement Friday, said Mr. Rangel had changed his mind after the May 7 meeting. Mr. Rangel’s aides say that a document dated May 12 from the nonpartisan joint committee on taxation indicated that he had signed off on the provision.</p>
<p>Mr. Rangel included the provision in the Renewable Energy and Job Creation Act of 2008, which was introduced on May 14 and which passed the House a week later, then stalled in the Senate over the summer.</p>
<p>But in September, after the House of Representatives rejected the first attempt to pass a $700 billion bill intended to stave off the collapse of the banking system, leaders in the Senate revived Mr. Rangel’s bill as part of a compromise that won approval in both houses.</p>
<p>“There is simply no connection between Chairman Rangel’s advocacy on behalf of an educational institution in his district and legislation affecting A.I.G.,” Ms. Mays said.</p>

<p>      I wouldn&#8217;t even take the time to write but I am beginning to believe you really care about us, despite some misconceptions in idealism you sometimes convey, because of the town hall meeting you conducted via telephone last night.  I believe you are really trying and I appreciate that.<br />
     So I am going to take the time to inform you as of the basis of all of our financial and many of  our societal problems.  I can’t write everything here, but I can give you a basis from which to further deliberations toward real solutions for our economic dilemma.<br />
     First of all, all Congressmen need to START with the fact that mankind cannot print wealth out of thin air through the use of paper and ink. Only our creator can create blessings and wealth out of thin air or the void of space.  Until you get that into your head you can forget ever trying to fix our nightmare.  It has been Congress and the largest private company on Earth trying to play God, first and foremost through the Constitutionally contemptuous passage of The Federal Reserve Act of 1913, by a handful of corrupt Congressmen held over by President Wilson on either Christmas Eve or the day before, while all of the honorable Congressmen were out-of-town and multiple Constitutionally contemptuous legislation since that point that has caused our plight we have today and before us.<br />
      Secondly, in order to resolve our economic plight the U.S. Congress must obey all the laws of The Constitution, especially with regards to the 9th and 10th Amendments and the balance of the ‘enumerated’ powers clauses of The Constitution.  Both houses of Congress must accept the ensuing consequences on the size and scope of Government as a result of  obeying the law with in these clauses.  I think you know what that means, or I sure hope you do. The Federal Government is supposed to do little more than be an Agent of the FREE, independent and sovereign States and so the States are not suppose to be Agents of nor do the bidding of the Federal Government.<br />
     America, financially speaking, is like an air tight vault (leave free trade out for this conversation).  In this small room we have an 800 pound gorilla, the Government, and the rest of us.  You have sucked all the financial air out of the room and we the people are suffocating because you are “usurping” up all of our economic air and power of a “free” people, as never intended by our founding fathers.<br />
     The TARP and this additional stimulus are only going to make things far worse because you are &#8220;allowing&#8221; The Fed to print wealth out of thin air again.  Don’t you even realize how blasphemous this is?  Certainly you realize that there has to be some reasonable level of “hard” assets backing up at least some major portion of those FEDERAL RESERVE “NOTES” (I.O.U.s).  So within three years Congress is going to have to withhold far more taxes out of all American’s paychecks.  And, you know it!  Now add Social Security and Medicare to these costs plus the costs to run the non-Constitutional scope of Government and you have big trouble as a result of The Federal Reserve (private banking company) and Socialist programs and blasphemous “we’re God” so we can give out “free stuff” to our constituents like Socialist thinking of elected officials.  Socialism has never and will never work in the entire universe, because it takes the creator of the universe out of the equation.  Additionally it immorally takes the need for man to show goodwill toward man because “government” will take care of them.<br />
     Now, in addition, and I know you realize this because I heard you mention it during the telephonic town hall meeting last night, what is going to be the true value of the dollar after you have “The Fed” print TRILLIONS upon TRILLIONS of FEDERAL RESERVE “NOTES” in terms of inflation?  You give this “out of thin air” paper and ink wealth to whomever you choose, like Big Bankers, Big Business and who knows who else, because they are too rich to fail.  The fact is this collapse of what I call “The Matrix”, the economy that only exists in our minds as we have been programmed to believe in public schools, the main stream media, the U.S. Government and “The Fed”, much like the movie, is supported by little more than monopoly money, with little in the vault in hard assets, to support these “NOTES”.  The economy is not collapsing for the reasons you think, it is collapsing to correct itself to the true out of “The Matrix” value of the dollar.  The only way to regain our freedom, individual prosperity and blessings from God to restore that which we “thought” we had is to let “The Matrix” collapse and rebuild it with hard work and our God blessed natural resources through the strict enforcement of The Constitution in full force and effect upon the U.S. Government.<br />
     Bottom line: To resolve this peacefully you need to admit to all of the unconstitutional actions Congress has done for the past nine decades and reverse each and every one of them.  The false economy based on printed out of thin air wealth has to be allowed to “correct” completely, as bad as that is going to be and Government needs to obey the law in the Constitution which will result in us keeping  our earnings so that we the people can get to work, in the blessings and shear power of freedom, to undo what Congress has done to our economy, to us and to God.<br />
     If Congress does not come clean, with every single tenet of the Constitution, word for word, to the spirit, intent and meaning, as it ‘WAS’ meant on the day it was ratified before all the legalize spin and judicial activism, the people will through financial hardship become motivated to learn the true meaning of freedom and how it results in individual prosperity and happiness.  Because of the motivation of hunger and hardship we will learn of our American history, heritage and unique American religious culture and the comparison of the results other non-freedom / socialist governments with regards as to how those forms of government always end up like we are headed to now because of Congress implementing those very same type of socialist policies and playing God.  We the people will learn that it has always been up to us individually to educate our children as to the science of government, to enforce our laws that we placed upon Government to protect our earnings and our economy which is protected by freedom.<br />
     If you really want to help us, you must help our countrymen to understand all the legislation and actions Congress has done through the last nine decades, that were not completely and entirely Constitutional, why and how that is causing our economic plight and what you are going to do to reverse it, meaning only have Government do those things specifically enumerated in the constitution and that, thereby, we and our economy will be able to keep our earnings, which are created only by the sweat of man and the blessings of God and not the printing presses of the largest most powerful privately owned corporation in the world, which is as “federal” as Federal Express.      </p>
<p>     If you want to help us, let us be as free as the Constitution orders you, let the economy reset, and get out of our way.  What you need to understand is that you and your legislations and stimulus / TARP are standing in the way of God and freedom.  And that is not advisable.  You see, God is on the side of the free and the brave because true freedom leaves individual fate, free choice and the result of it in the creator’s hands, where it belongs.<br />
     America might not know it yet nor understand it, but this is the change we are looking for.  But my fellow countrymen will soon come to know of the horrors of the “free stuff” of socialism, like Social Security, Medicare, Universal Health Care (?) and all of the “social” programs that try to take the “need” for God and personal individual care and goodwill out of our lives.   We will learn that taking “free individual choice” out of our lives by Congress is not only the loss of freedom, but also results in the loss of earnings and personal property to those making the decisions for us.<br />
     Personally, I don’t think that you or anybody in Congress has the will or the spirit to reverse the course you and your predecessors have placed us on, the march toward the valley of darkness of socialism.  But, I think that is okay, because it is not up to you, it is up to we the people to enforce the laws that we did ordain and establish on Congress.  We have a lesson to learn, and learn it we are.  Once this economic and science of government and history course along with the necessary economic spanking of probable divine providence is over, we will be coming to teach Congress the lessons we have learned which is to take care of our personal responsibilities as a people to enforce OUR laws on you and to make sure that our posterity is taught the true meaning and canons of freedom.  Mark my words, the day will come, if you do not change course and comply with the entirety of the Constitution word for word, when the entire land of the free and home of the brave come to employ our education.<br />
     BTW; You could start with complying with the 1st Amendment which states:  Congress shall make no law… abridging the right of the people to petition the government for a redress of grievances.  We The People Congress has served you with a Legal Notice and Demand to honor this amendment a few months ago.  If you really cared about our economy and The Constitution you would at least address our petition of grievances.  I heard that many in the Government think that our founding fathers wrote this provision in the 1st Amendment for their health rather than for the Government to actually redress such direct Constitutional grievances as the one We The People Congress have submitted to you.  Do you think that our founding fathers wrote the right to petition provision for you to ignore it?  Or, will you address our petition?</p>
