Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Barack Obama both lied about the Federal Government would receive HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of more in taxes from ALL Americans including average working Americans at all pay levels. These Cap and Trade Taxes would amount to a 15% increase in taxes for ALL Americans.
The Treasury Department provided a report providing the information on the MASSIVE TAX INCREASE, for Cap and Trade, on March 9th 2009 to Congress and President Obama. Regardless of receipt of the report they both LIED directly to the American public about the cost of this proposal in Congress. Waxman stated that it would only cost about 40 cents per day. Obama stated that it would only cost “about the same as a postage stamp per day”.

“We are joining with Energy Citizens to oppose this radical climate change legislation,” said Brian Britton of the Greely 9-12 project. “We support clean energy, but we also believe that we need to drill here and drill now, and we do not support Cap and Trade. We think it is important to join with other conservative groups when we see legislation that will destroy our economy.”
“One thing the Democrats did to defeat Republicans in the 2008 election was to join groups with differing interests in the common goal of supporting the liberal agenda. We need to work together with people of like mind to defeat the liberal agenda,” said Britton.

This afternoon this harmless ol’Capt Karl attempted to contract Senator Russ Feingold’s office with regards to the House letting the offshore oil and gas ban expiring. I started to ask what the Senator’s position was on this matter and, after looking up the information they have on me in their computer database, the staffer hung up on me. When I redialed the phone just rang and rang and was not picked up.

Congressman Steve Kagen, along with other Congressional Representatives from the State of Wisconsin, have voted to keep BILLIONS of barrels of oil just out of reach of our oil companies. This obviously means that supply will remain tight and very likely get even tighter when our economy picks up and the demand for oil, the life blood of prosperity and wealth creation, picks back up. Without the freedom to drill for our offshore oil our economy may never recover, especially if the U.S. Congress starts regulating everything and screwing everything up like they always do.

Besides the fact that Socialism will rip apart a society, like it is ours right now, can’t you see that for yourself, can’t you see the division between us fellow countrymen, can’t you see how it even is starting to turn to hate especially amongst those who want and believe in “free stuff” otherwise known as Socialist Spending Programs, for people against those who believe in individual “freedom” (from Government), liberty and property rights? Can you see how people stop caring for other people when they know that “That’s Governments job to take care of them.” instead of pitching in directly with money or physical help or a hot meal or three for those unfortunately afflicted? Socialism runs directly opposed to Natural Law. That is why it does not work. Socialism – “Free Stuff” for people so against “Natural Law” as jumping up hard over a cliff expecting to fly up in the air is against the laws of physics and gravity. You can think all you want that it is good and it is going to work but you are going to land with a thud and it is going to hurt. All of history shows that Socialism and Communism NEVER, EVER, WORK and only leads to the equal distribution of poverty, misery and massive corruption by Government officials, elitists and their cronies.

That’s because the plan is a Democratic giveaway. New production on offshore federal lands is left to state legislatures, and then in only four coastal states. The regulatory hurdles are huge. And the bill bars drilling within 50 miles of the coast — putting off limits some of the most productive areas. Alaska’s oil-rich Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is still a no-go.
The highlight is instead $84 billion in tax credits, subsidies and federal handouts for alternative fuels and renewables. The Gang of 10 intends to pay for all this in part by raising taxes on . . . oil companies! The Sierra Club couldn’t have penned it better. And so the Republican Five has potentially given antidrilling Democrats the political cover they need to neutralize energy through November.

The “bipartisan” Republican senators have undercut these efforts, and boosted Ms. Landrieu. They’ve even put a smile on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s face. He’d been struggling to tamp down the energy debate through November, where he hopes to increase his majority and permanently shelve drilling. He’s now counting on the Gang to fruitlessly continue “negotiations” straight through the Senate’s short September session and solve his problem for him.
