For many years, the people’s attention in the Battle for America has been directed toward the federal government and its offices. Candidates stand for the House and the Senate. Patriotic groups publish voting records of incumbents. Considerable time, effort and money are expended in support of candidates for President. After decades of such commendable activity, the record shows it is an utter failure. The danger to the nation is worse than it ever was.

For many of those years, Republicrud bosses whined that if the people would only give them control of the federal government, they would undo Democrud damage and restore Free Enterprise. Finally, the people gave it to them. Remember? The Republicruds controlled the House, the Senate and the Oval Office long enough to turn the country around. What happened? The Republicruds made our problems much worse. Their spending made the profligate drunken sailor look like Scrooge. They deserved it when the people kicked them out. They lost all credibility.

Yes, there is Dr. Ron Paul. But Dr. No is a political aberration. Time and again, he stands alone. He has neither men’s room problems nor woman problems. He doesn’t take congressional retirement. He actually returns “money” (computer entries) to the federal treasury. He proposes abolishing the Fed and the income tax and replacing them with nothing. In foreign affairs he suggests that we mind our own business. Imagine! But, again, he is an aberration.

Why? Certainly one reason has to be that we ship the successful congressional candidate off to the District of Corruption. However good the new congressman may have been when he or she boarded the plane to the District; he is subjected to intoxicating blandishments when he arrives in the enemy camp.

Soon, he succumbs to the blandishments, maybe even making himself blackmailable, and begins to vote as the party boss says, without even reading the bills. Instead of representing the people of his congressional district in the District of Criminals, he represents the D.C. to the C.D. He or she now is one of the boys or the girls. It has happened hundreds of times.

So, if the long, heroic effort to elect federal legislators has failed, does there remain any governmental Horatius who can stand in the gap; who can lead the Battle for America and restore the Constitution? There is. Lock and load, mount up and prepare for the return of the sheriff.

My guess is that in the minds of many Americans the sheriff is an antiquated figure who lives in the movies. In the older movies he is the hero; he is Gary Cooper in “High Noon,” awaiting the train that will bring killer Frank Miller back to town. In the new ones, he is the southern sheriff, even bigger than Rosie O’Donnell, sneering, sadistic, racist, violent, etc. He has no modern relevance.

But now here comes Sheriff Richard Mack, elected and re-elected in Graham County, Arizona, where he served for eight years. During his tenure, three federal agents came to a meeting of Arizona sheriffs and told them in certain terms how they would be dragooned as unpaid federal bureaucrats and administer the new, federal Brady gun registration law.

The law was named of course for Ronald Reagan’s press secretary, who was severely wounded in the immensely suspicious attempt to assassinate the President. Since then, Mrs. Brady has become a leader of the campaign for Nazi gun confiscation. I don’t know whether she was as crazy before the shootings as she is now. Just one more increment of lunacy and they would have to lock her up.

Richard Mack and the other Arizona sheriffs at the meeting rebelled. Sheriff Richard says the language he heard – in which he did not participate – could not be repeated in the presence of genteel Christian ladies, so we can’t tell you here what the sheriffs said. But Sheriff Mack did take the government to court. He sued the United States, and Sheriff Jay Printz of Montana joined him as plaintiff.

On June 27th, 1997, the sheriffs won; in Printz v. U.S. (521 U.S. 898) the U.S. Supreme Court struck Brady down. Associate Justice Antonin Scalia wrote the ruling for the Court, in which he explained our system of government at length. The justly revered system of checks and balances is the key:

“. . . The great innovation of this design was that ‘our citizens would have two political capacities, one state and one federal, each protected from incursion by the other’” – “a legal system unprecedented in form and design, establishing two orders of government, each with its own direct relationship, its own privity, its own set of mutual rights and obligations to the people who sustain it and are governed by it.” (P. 920)

Scalia quotes President James Madison, “father” of the Constitution: “[T]he local or municipal authorities form distinct and independent portions of the supremacy, no more subject, within their respective spheres, to the general authority than the general authority is subject to them, within its own sphere.” The Federalist, No. 39 at 245.

Again and again, Justice Scalia pounds the point home (page 921): “This separation of the two spheres is one of the Constitution’s structural protections of liberty: ‘Just as the separation and independence of the coordinate branches of the Federal Government serve to prevent the accumulation of excessive power in any one branch, a healthy balance of power between the States and the Federal Government will reduce the risk of tyranny and abuse from either front.’. . .” Gregory, 501 U.S. at 458.

He quotes President Madison again: “In the compound republic of America, the power surrendered by the people is first divided between two distinct governments, and then the portion allotted to each subdivided among distinct and separate departments. Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will control each other, at the same time that each will be controlled by itself.” (P. 922)

No one could make this any clearer. The primary purpose of the Fathers was to prevent someone from grabbing all the power. When that happens, they knew, the result is arbitrary, confiscatory, government, the kind Tom Jefferson described in the Declaration of Independence. We would call it totalitarian.

Madison explains: “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” Federalist No. 48, February 1, 1788.

To prevent that from happening, they divided the power. First, they divided the federal power into three parts: the executive, the legislative and the judicial. They would bicker among themselves, so that no one of them could seize all the power the Constitution grants to the federal government.

The Founders divided the power even more. They set the limited power the Constitution grants the “general authority,” Madison’s term for the federal government, against the vast residual powers of the states. Each sphere of government, state and federal, would be supreme in its own sphere. Neither could control the other. Each protects itself from intervention by the other. Each has its own laws and rules.

Madison says this: “Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of.” Loc. Cit.

What does all this mean today in the Battle for America? Sheriff Mack says it proves that the sheriff is the highest governmental authority in his county. Within that jurisdiction – inside his county – the sheriff has more power than the governor of his state. Indeed, the sheriff has more power in his county than the President of the United States. In his county, he can overrule the President and kick his people out. Remember, the President has few and limited powers.

What? The sheriff can do that? He’s not just a character in a movie? That’s right. Not only can the sheriff do that; sheriffs have already done that, more than once. Most Americans are not aware of that because lying, conspiracy scumbags like Rush Humbug, Shallow Sean Hannitwerp and Hugh Blewitt (a lawyer) etc., haven’t told them.

 Remember, the office of sheriff has a pedigree so long, we are not positive about when it was created. We think it was in the Ninth Century in England. We do know that each land district, or “shire,” was governed by a “reeve.” The sheriff of Nottingham became famous. At first, the king appointed them. With few exceptions, our American shire reeves are elected by the people.

In 1997, in Nye County, Nevada, federal agents arrived to seize cattle that belonged to rancher Wayne Hage. The sheriff gave them a choice: skedaddle or be arrested. They skedaddled. The cows stayed where they were. Wyoming sheriffs have told federal agencies they must check with the respective sheriff before they serve any papers, make any arrests or confiscate any property.

In Idaho, a 74-year-old rancher shot an endangered gray wolf which had killed one of his calves. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service sent three armed agents to serve a warrant. Lemhi County Sheriff Brett Barslou said that was “inappropriate, heavy-handed and dangerously close to excessive force.” More than 500 people turned out for a rally in the small towns of Challis and Salmon to support the sheriff and the rancher and to tell the federal government to back off.

While Richard Mack was sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, a bridge washed out. Parents had to drive twenty six miles to get their kids to school half a mile across the river. But the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wouldn’t fix it. First they had to do an “environmental impact study,” to replace a bridge already there. They were in no hurry. The study would take a mere ten years.

The people’s suffering reached the board of supervisors. The board voted to dredge the river and fix the bridge. The feds warned that they would be fined $50,000 per day if they tried. The supervisors hesitated. Sheriff Mack promised them and the workers protection and pledged to call out a posse for the purpose if necessary. They built the bridge and the Corps of Engineers faded. The board never paid a dime.

So the long dormant spirit of America is reviving. The states are beginning to adopt Tenth Amendment resolutions, using powers they have always had. The people are restoring our long unbalanced constitutional system. There is something “blowin’ in the wind,” but it isn’t what Bob Dylan thought it was. Recently, Sheriff Mack addressed 570 people in Fredericksburg, Texas. He reports that the reception was “beyond fantastic.”

What can you do? For once we are not just complaining. There is a plan. I do not argue that you should forget about Congress. Not at all; if you see an opportunity there, take it. Always remember that right now it is run by people like Barney the Bugger of Taxachusetts, who will be elected by moronth in hith dithtrict until he dieth of AIDS.

Most of the time, when you approach your congressman, you come to complain. In the new crusade, you will approach your sheriff and tell him that he is not only handsome, charming and overwhelmingly masculine, but also that he has powers he may not be aware of. You have come to tell him what they are and to back him up. My guess is, when you tell him that, he will not kick you out.

Tell him you expect him to return the courtesy when the Nazis come from the District of Criminals to get the guns. Tell him you are ready in a minute to serve under his direction in a posse. He will not move to Washington and be corrupted. He will stay there with you. Show him the ten orders the Oath Keepers will not obey. The Oath Keepers are retired and active duty military and police. Their web site is oath-keepers.blogspot.com. The first order they promise to disobey is an order to disarm you.

Put him together with Sheriff Mack. You will find him at sheriffmack.com. His telephone numbers are 928 792-4340 and 928 792-3888. Bring the sheriff to your town to speak. He will explain all this. Invite your own sheriff. At the meeting I attended, the local sheriff and chief of police were there and loved what they heard. No one dislikes hearing how important he is.

What if your sheriff is stupid or a federal factotum? That is what you will find in many big cities. I once interviewed Los Angeles County Sheriff Peter Pitchess, who said no one should have a hand gun. I asked him how a five foot lady alone in bed could defend herself from a rapist. Realizing he was perilously close to making himself look even dumber than he did usually, Pitchess conceded she could have a long gun.

I brightened. A street sweeper isn’t really the best weapon for close quarters, but it would give the lady a chance. Unfortunately, Pitchess added the word, “unloaded.” I asked him what that five foot lady with an unloaded shotgun could do against a six foot rapist. A police captain sat beside Pitchess during the interview. His job was to extricate Peter from the jams he persisted on getting himself into. The police captain extruded a barrage of miasma. It was effective. I did not get an answer.

 In such cases, says Sheriff Mack, move to a county where the sheriff is receptive. Many more will be. For instance, in Texas there are 254 counties. Each has a sheriff. If it is feasible to do so, run for sheriff yourself. Even your wife will be impressed when she sees you with a hog leg on your hip and a star on your vest. Imagine the intense joy of meeting IRS Communists or BATFE Nazis at the county line and denying them admission.

Now are you prepared to call President Obama a complete bald faced liar or do we have a MAJOR deadly PROBLEM in The White House?  And, what about THE MEDIA and both major political parties?

Weren’t people just about shot, before his election, for just mentioning his middle name because it “insinuated” that he was a Muslim?

Islam is a part of promoting “peace”?   You have GOT to be kidding me!  Hasn’t he read the Koran like a good Muslim?  Like the “devout” Muslim did, that just massacred thirteen “Infidel” American Soldiers and maimed over twenty more of our Son and Daughter heroes at Fort Hood, TX?  All “devout” Muslims follow the meaning and intent of the Koran, WORD FOR WORD.  That means, therefore, that they believe in “The Caliphate”; a religious theocracy that is to grow and expand through either conversion of all peoples to Islam or Murdering the rest who they call “Infidels”; such as the ones who worked in the World Trade Towers shown in the video.  Those are the marching ORDERS in the Koran.  Now that being said there are some Muslims who do not follow those bad henious parts of the Koran and I believe they are good peaceful people.  But they are NOT “devout” in the pure definition of the word.  Obama, according to his own words, however, is “devout”.  And if he get his way, WE ALL WILL BE SOON as he said;”we are a nation of Muslims.”  (Or was he lying?)

I wonder if Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the “devout” Fort Knox Caliphate murdering  Muslim,  is disappointed that he hasn’t gotten to greet Muhammed yet with his 72 Virgins in tow?  Wouldn’t it be terrible if America graciously arranged the meeting for him, in a couple of weeks or so, and this happened:

Pardon me but the above video of facts and truth about where President Obama’s loyalties lie and regards to his deep ”devout” faith and “guidance”" really PISSES ME OFF.  How many Americans knew this BEFORE they elected him? 

I shed more than a few tears during the televised funeral of our Fort Hood patriots today who defend our Constitution, our freedom, liberty and individual unalienable rights, from enemies both foreign and domestic,  who that DAMN “devout” Muslim killer murdered in cold defenseless blood on our own American Army base where our Sons and Daughters should feel completely free and secure from any harm!

I have had it with Political Correctness, OVER Tolerance and Multiculturalism.  Either you are an “American”, and subscribe and immerse yourself in our UNIQUE “American” Culture like all of the immigrant families used to do when they came to America or you should be free to leave WITHOUT citizenship!  PERIOD.  If ANY PERSON in AMERICA can’t COMPLETELY and FULLY and DESIREOUSLY appreciate “MERRY CHRISTMAS!”, for ONE example, and The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States as written by Benjamin F. Morris in his 1864 book hot linked here, then they should be shipped out; Or, with regards to politicians for treasonous activities against the Constitution and the God given rights of each individual American, hung.  I have had it with the destruction of our country and our AMERICAN principles by Political Correctness of the Socialist / Communists in academia, media and The US Government itself.

People, how long are we going to be playing around with these Democrats and Republicans who treasonously destroy the principles of the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution and contemptuously usurp power on a daily or hourly basis and foment divisions amongst us through the deceit of multiculturalism and OVER tolerance in lieu of assimilation like all immigrants used to do?  WAKE UP, PEOPLE!

Boy, I am really hot on this one.  Remember how almost the entire Main Stream Media kept on covering up Obama’s deep “devout” Muslim heritage and faith, with truth conflicting report over truth conflicting lying report before the election?  This is MADNESS!  Isn’t it interesting that the Republican Party didn’t point these events, clearly shown on the video above, out to us during the election process? And why didn’t the Republican Party with all of their financial resources check out Obama’s eligibility?   What the hell was up with that????    I DO NOT trust them either!  Something is going on and I smell a RAT…

I shall endeavor to vote for The Constitution Party, like I did the last time, at every opportunity!  Republicans are just better liars who perform the same function of Marching our fellow Americans  into utter dependency on the path to the Socialist BIG BROTHER police welfare State.  According to reports the Republican Health Care bill isn’t much better than the Democrat one.  Either way the American public becomes “ENSLAVED” and individually IDENTIFIED and MARKED with NO PRIVACY, and ultimately, I submit, NO FREEDOM.

We THE PEOPLE have to get our COUNTRY BACK.  One Way or THE OTHER.  The RULE OF LAW, as WE wrote, established and ordained on our Federal Government, in The Constitution, MUST BE ENFORCED in its entirety!  That foreign born alien has got to go.  Perhaps it is time for America to arrange a little visit with Allah for this man who isn’t a liar (or do you think he was lying in the video above?).  Finally a Constitutionally supported action, defending the Constitution, our heroes and our fellow countrymen against domestic enemies, that I will gladly “volunteer” (as it states in the IRS code), to pay taxes for.

I noticed that a very “devout” Muslim, who by his own admission in the video above strongly believes in and is “guided by” the Koran and Muslim faith, who apologies at every nation stop and place he goes to for our unique “American” culture and our prosperity, spoke at the funeral of murdered American soldiers.  Wasn’t that Special?   Speak of ironic  juxtaposition to the max!  Remember; “Not God Bless America, God Damn America!”

Are you still wondering why President Obama hasn’t sent  in more troops and equipment into Afghanistan, to fight the Caliphate “devout” Muslims while our soldiers on the battlefield get needlessly killed due to lack thereof,  by now?  How many of our own died over there, in the last few months, while our honorable Generals and commanders wait on Obama’s decision? Hasn’t Obama got in enough golf games and gallivanting around the world with Oprah Winfrey pitching for the Olympics to come to Chicago and such important things as that, to make a decision by now?  

ONE MORE QUESTION – - -  HOW LONG WILL “FREE SPEECH LAST” before Youtube is coerced into pulling this video of TRUTH?

And, just as importantly or more so, how many Tories are there amongst us who want it pulled?  You should ask the people around you what they think of this video so that you can ascertain who are the Tories who live in your community, who your family needs to be aware of. 

The time of choosing is soon at hand folks.  It is a choice none of us can avoid with the advent of the coming collapse of “The MATRix” (our economy that only exists in our minds which have been Mass Behavior Modified to believe that FEDERAL RESERVE “NOTES” are worth 100 cents, when they are only worth 2 – 3 cents in the ‘real’ world of reality).  The question becomes; Will you choose individual rights, freedom, liberty and OUR GOD, or will you choose the “Godless” – “green” hybrid of Socialism, Communism and Fascism that all three branches and both major parties of our Federal Government has in store for us as “The MATRIX” is soon to collapse? 

If you choose Liberty, you sure better know who the Tories are around you.  And, beware of them, when the time of choosing arrives, when Barack Obama gives us “The Final Ultimatum” between Liberty and the security of a ONE WORLD CURRENCY which comes with the final destruction of the Constitution and our “God Given” unalienable rights.

Anybody who wants to keep the truth from you, is NOT your friend or a patriot, but a Tory.

Multiculturalism, OVER Tolerance, and Political Correctness is not only destructive to our UNIQUE “AMERICAN” culture that made us great and so blessed by our creator, and caustic to our economy, it is ultimately DANGEROUS to “American” lives.  Immigration is eminently good if said aliens do so legally by all the proper steps and totally WANT to assimilate and exchange their culture for OUR American culture.  Multiculturalism is what destroyed many nations throughout WORLD HISTORY, such as Rome, by insurmountable discordant divisions amongst the populations and a repulsion of mass “natural” population unifying traditions such as the American Christmas, for example, and Judeo-Christian principles that is the basis of our UNIQUE American Culture that has made us great as Rome once was before the destructive application of multiculturalism and “OVER” tolerance. 

The “key” words here: “The DESIRE” for complete assimilation by the immigrants.  If they do not “wish” to “fully” assimilate and be copiously immersed in the UNIQUE American culture, we do not need them nor want the discordance such attitudes will and have fomented amongst us in the name of Political Correctness.  Decades ago it was very common for an immigrant father to take his children to the woodshed for a good whipping if he caught them speaking in their foreign tongue or acting in ways foreign to our American culture because he wanted his children to be “Americans” and NOT Mexicans, Germans, Italians, or any other culture.  I have heard these such stories numerous countless times in my life, more so, a couple of decades ago and later, than I do today.  And that appears to be the problem.  Immigrants are being “encouraged” not to assimilate into our unique “American” culture and therefore they are not becoming Americans which is the cause of fomenting the divisions and, in some cases, resulting in murder such as at Fort Hood.  Why in some cases Muslim children in America are being murdered in “honor” killings, by their parents, for assimilating or turning into “Americans” and accepting our natural Judeo-Christian ways as long established since the birth of our nation as further documented in the 1864 book noted in the next paragraph.

Can we say MERRY CHRISTMAS, now?  Or do we still have to believe that few or none of us are “Americans”?  How come in our own country of America, there is NO TOLERANCE for Americanism and its bedrock foundation of Christianity as well proven and established in the 1864 published book by Benjamin F. Morris called The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States?

Until the vast majority of us and the “legal” immigrants amongst us agree to become fully “AMERICANS” and immerse ourselves in the righteous waters of its fellowship, American like goodwill, morality and virtue, we will not be able to recover our freedom and liberty, from the tyrannical oppressors in Washington D.C. who feed at the trough of usurpation upon our division, nor the 28 Freedom Principles founded in the Declaration of Independence or The Constitution; for we will remain divided in multiculturalism and OVER Tolerance and not united.  Why do we allow our Government and our Government sponsored school systems to do this to us, our society and our unique American culture that has secured the individual freedom, power and the resulting prosperity through hard work in liberty bestowed upon us by our Lord?  When will the righteous and the Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful !) amongst us rise up with the Glory of the coming of our Lord, who will soon be trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored?

Please keep in mind that I want to attend to the Appleseed / RWVA table when I can, however, I am also very involved in all these matters and groups.  I am a reporter for The Liberty Tree Lantern, an assistant organizer working with the Wisconsin GrandSons of Liberty, an active member of Americans for Prosperity, I work with certain “Conservative” State of Wisconsin legislators with Conservative issue legislation, and work with other groups such as our new Marinette/Menominee Sons and Daughters of Liberty “meetup” group.  In addition I am very active as the Marinette county coordinator for We The People Congress who have formed a NEW Continental Congress that will be initially convening in St. Charles, IL on Sunday November 8th, with three delegates from 49 States, for the purpose to plan and execute strategies to enforce Constitutional Law, in its entirety, on all THREE BRANCHES (AND BOTH major political parties) of the Federal Government via peaceful means (hopefully, God willing).

So I will not be able to attend to the RWVA table for a lot of the time, although I would/will be honored to at times that I can.  Friday afternoon will be a good time for me to be at the RWVA / Appleseed table,,,  I think,,,,   If I am not pulled away by other groups or matters of Constitutional discourse.

I am elated that the RWVA / Appleseed will be represented at this potentially historic event of nationally significant importance.  I believe that RWVA / Appleseed is of critical importance to our country and to the preservation of nothing less important than our liberty.  It has always been up to each one of us to remain eternally vigilant and to ENFORCE the laws that we wrote, established and ordained upon our Government as WE THE PEOPLE documented in The Constitution of the United States of America.  And, IF necessary, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce us under absolute Despotism, it is our right, it is our duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for our Constitution, rule of its laws and to provide for our future security.

I look forward to seeing all you Appleseed patriots at our assembly of independent WI Patriot, freedom and liberty organizations.  I hope that any RWVA member who is even remotely interested in pitching in on our Appleseed display table will come.

I was reading through the Journal that was kept by James Madison as a record of the Federal Constitutional Convention in 1787. This Journal is the most complete, and the most definitive record, of the proceedings, the debates, and the votes that were taken, while the delegates from the thirteen States were writng the US Constitution. (Note 1 below) The Journal was later ordered to be printed and published by an Act of Congress.

I’ve copied a page from Madison’s Journal below. On Sept.14,1787 they were proposing to add the power to “cut canals” to the specified powers that Congress has. They discussed their reasons for and against granting Congress the power to “cut canals”, but as you can see, in the end they voted to not extend that new power to Congress. (page 725 of the “Journal of the Federal Convention”)

They voted down this ‘new proposed power’ to cut canals – they did not allow it – they did not give that authority to the federal government. But, regardless of what this ‘particular proposed power’ was, the fact that they specified some powers and voted down other powers says it all. We undeniably have a Constitution expressly designed to limit the federal government to the specified enumerated powers listed in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. (Note 2 below)

Any person could read this one page of Madison’s Journal and not have to go any further to realize that there can be no debate — there is no argument that can be put forth that Congress has some sort of an ever elastic, ever expanding, ever more supreme authority to legislate on any subject that strikes their fancy.

They would not have debated about, voted for, and then specified only some powers, if they actually intended to grant unlimited powers. They would simply have said that Congress can pass any legislation that they wish in order to advance the “general welfare”. They did not, they merely granted Congress the power to “collect taxes” to advance the “general welfare”, with that “general welfare” being limited to the specified powers that followed. (Note 2 below)

There is line after line, page after page, statement after statement, from these representatives of their respective States as they wrote our Constitution. The entire purpose of the Constitution is to chain our public officials to a strict and clearly delineated set of rules and tasks within very narrow and specific boundaries. (Note 2 below)

The Constitution is a very explicit and easily understood document. It is not necessary to interpret the Constitution. The founders of this Country wrote down exactly what they meant when they composed it. If you ignore, reinterpret, or disregard any one part of it, then you ignore it in its entirety. You subvert the very reason for having a written Constitution. Anyone who oversteps these boundaries is not authorized to do so.

As Mr. Mason put it while discussing another power of Congress in Article 1, Section 8, “Congress would not have the power unless it were expressed” in the Constitution. (page 542 of the “Journal of the Federal Convention”)

Mr. Madison further stated on the U.S. House floor, February 7, 1792., “I, sir, have always conceived—I believe those who proposed the Constitution conceived—it is still more fully known, and more material to observe, that those who ratified the Constitution conceived—that this is not an indefinite government, deriving its powers from the general terms (to pay the debts and provide for the common defence and general welfare) prefixed to the specified powers—but a limited government, tied down to the specified powers, which explain and define the general terms. “

“The language held in various discussions of this house is a proof that the doctrine (of implied open ended general welfare powers) in question was never entertained by this body. Arguments, wherever the subject would permit, have constantly been drawn from the peculiar nature of this government, as limited to certain enumerated powers, instead of extending, like other governments, to all cases not particularly excepted.”

“In short, sir, without going farther into the subject, which I should not have here touched at all but for the reasons already mentioned, I venture to declare it as my opinion, that, were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited government established by the people of America; and what inferences might be drawn, or what consequences ensue, from such a step, it is incumbent on us all to consider.” (James Madison, Speech on the U.S. House floor, 07 February 1792. In his Farewell Address on September 17 of 1796, George Washington stated that “The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government. But the constitution which at any time exists till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole people is sacredly obligatory upon all.”

Doctor Franklin moved to add after the words “post roads” Article I Sect. 8. “a power to provide for cutting canals where deemed necessary”.

Mr Wilson seconded the motion.

Mr Sherman objected. The expense in such cases will fall on the United States, and the benefit accrue to the places where the canals may be cut.

Mr Wilson. Instead of being an expense to the U. S. they may be made a source of revenue.

Mr. Madison suggested an enlargement of the motion, into a power “to grant charters of incorporation where the interest of the United States might require, and the legislative provisions of individual States may be incompetent”. His primary object was however to secure an easy communication between the States, which the free intercourse now to be opened seemed to call for. The political obstacles being removed, a removal of the natural ones as far as possible ought to follow.

Mr. Randolph seconded the proposition.

Mr King thought the power unneccessary.

Mr Wilson. It is necessary to prevent a State from obstructing the general welfare.

Mr King — The States will be prejudiced and divided into parties by it. In Philadelphia and New York, it will be referred to the establishment of a bank, which has been a subject of contention in those cities. In other places it will be referred to mercantile monopolies.

Mr. Wilson mentioned the importance of facilitating by canals the communication with the Western Settlements. As to Banks he did not think with Mr. King that the power in that point of view would excite the prejudices and parties apprehended. As to mercantile monopolies they are already included in the power to regulate trade.

Col: Mason was for limiting the power to the single case of Canals. He was afraid of monopolies of every sort, which he did not think were by any means already implied by the Constitution as supposed by Mr. Wilson.

The motion being so modified as to admit a distinct question specifying & limited to the case of canals.

Note 1 —– James Madison was dertermined to — “preserve as far as I could an exact account of what might pass in the Convention”. If the convention succeeded in drafting a new constitution and if that proposal were adopted by the American people, Madison felt that his record of what happened in the convention would allow future generations to understand “the objects, the opinions & the reasonings” that gave rise to the new Constitution. Madison, like many others of his generation, believed that Americans had the responsibility of constitution making not merely for themselves and their posterity but for all of mankind. His record of the Constitutional Convention would help future historians from all countries understand the philosophical and practical motivations of the delegates.

The Convention chose William Jackson as its secretary. Madison correctly sensed that Jackson would preserve only a skeletal record of the proceedings. Thus, with the tacit approval of the delegates, Madison separated himself from the Virginia delegation and sat instead in “a seat in front of the presiding member, with the other members on my right & left hands. In this favorable position for hearing all that passed, I noted . . . what was read from the Chair or spoken by the members”.

Madison was already an accomplished note taker of debates, having practiced and refined his skill in Congress. The scholarly Virginian had a knack for isolating the essentials of the argument while listing the supporting evidence given by each speaker. He explained that he “was not a little aided by practice & by a familiarity with the style and the train of observation & reasoning which characterized the principal speakers”. He never missed a day of the convention, nor at most “a cassual fraction of an hour in any day, so that I could not have lost a single speech, unless a very short one”. He wrote his notes in full words, symbols, and abbreviations. On occasion speakers also gave him written copies of their speeches and, naturally, he had whatever written text he prepared for the more than two hundred times he spoke in the convention. Each evening he expanded these rough notes. Later, after 1789, he copied William Jackson’s manuscript proceedings of the convention, which contained the exact wording of motions and resolutions as well as the votes on these measures and correlated those to his in order to have as complete a record of the proceedings as was possible. Given the importance of the Constitution in our lives today, Madison’s notes have become invaluable for an understanding of the original meaning of the Founders.

Note 2 —– Below are listed the specifically enumerated POWERS of CONGRESS as mentioned by James Madison above, and as copied directly from Article 1, Section 8, of the Constitution. The actual powers of Congress are in bold print. All other powers and rights, not expressly delegated to Congress by the Constitution, are reserved to THE STATES or to THE PEOPLE ( see the 9th and 10th Amendments to the US Constitution ).

A constitution is the act of the people in their original character of sovereignty. A government is a creature of the constitution; it is produced and brought into existence by it. A constitution defines and limits the powers of the government it creates. Before I get into the details of the title of this post, let me say that I already know some of you are going to want to react to what I write with a bit of malice. I’ve taken a little heat for my post ripping Newt Gingrich about his “Party over Principles” stance over on my personal blog, so I fully understand there are folks who feel very passionate about this issue. But let me also say that for every email against my position, there are twenty in support of it.

If you’re one of the few who are angry about all of this, do us a favor and point the fingers in the right direction.

If you haven’t been following the NY23 special election, I highly recommend you go read the scoop on my blog. In short, the GOP establishment took the liberty movement for granted, jumped behind the wrong candidate (a far left, liberal Republican) and expected the base to just fold and follow their pick without complaint.

At first. this all just appeared to be a poorly calculated decision for the beltway thugs who pretend to be the conservative movement. I mean, back when Newt Gingrich endorsed far left liberal Dede Sozzafava in the race, the grassroots movement was hardly paying attention. It wasn’t until about two weeks ago when the rest of the country realized what was going on.

During the past week, many movement conservatives have shown full support for conservative candidate Doug Hoffman in the race. Sarah Palin, Dick Armey, Club for Growth and MANY others have thrown their political weight behind him.

And not just the “players”… the Tea Party Movement has gotten involved in a huge way. Using the internet as vessel, the message of conservative candidate Doug Hoffman has traveled far and wide, and support for him has exploded.

Which left egg on the faces of all the establishment heads who jumped into the liberal Republican camp early on.

Mistakes were made. No doubt about it. But here is where it gets wild. Instead of doing the right thing, Newt Gingrich and crew have dug in their heels and are strongly defending their position.

Damage control was possible about five days ago, but now they’ve lost their chance. There is no turning back. They made the wrong choice. The refused to admit it and join the true base of the movement. And now they’re actually trying to preach to us that more of the same is needed to fix the problems more of the same created.

Bizarre.

All that said, one would think these groups would now keep their mouths shut and try to minimize the damage, right?

Wrong.

Politico reported today that the NRCC is actually goinjg to step up their efforts and dump another $300,000 into to media buys for far left candidate Dede Scozzafava.

The National Republican Congressional Committee remains committed to embattled GOP nominee Dede Scozzafava in the upstate New York House special election, even as many of the party’s top names throw their support to Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman.

Two party officials tell POLITICO that the NRCC will continue to air TV ads propping up Scozzafava in the days leading up to the Nov. 3 contest and plans to keep up a near relentless barrage of press releases slamming Hoffman.

Scozzafava, a state assemblywoman who supports gay marriage, abortion rights and has a close relationship with leading labor officials in her region, has been the target of sustained criticism from conservatives who claim she is too liberal for them to support her candidacy.

Not only is the NRCC going to waste donor dollars on a failed candidate with no hope of winning the race, they’re also going to attack the actual conservative in the race!

At this point, the only logical conclusion is that the NRCC (a huge hub of establishment consultants who leech off of donor money) and the rest of the old guard will arm itself for battle and wage war against the grassroots base rather than give it control.

For those in our movement who are saying “we don’t need to wage war against the machine right now”… wake up. The machine is waging war against you.

This is a fight the movement has been itching for. In my opinion, we should confront this machine and do so immediately.

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me ten times, shame on me.  How many times do the Republicans get to tell us Jeffersonian Constitutionalists that they are for freedom, liberty and completely support The Declaration of Independence and the dovetail Constitution of the United States only to find out that their actions are, in large measure, opposed to their rhetoric?   After the behaviors of the last Republican Congress I am even beginning to wonder what the term RINO really means any more? 

When in the last ten decades has any Republican party rolled back the heinous usurpations that started with the ratification of the non-ratified 16^th Amendment by the lying Secretary of State Philanderer Knox and his boss in crime President Woodrow Wilson?  Not to mention the Constitutional atrocity of The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 that was passed on either Christmas Eve or the day before when President Woodrow Wilson held corruptible Congressmen from Christmas break to fulfill his commitment to the owner bankers of the cartel of twelve privately held huge banks that now make up The Federal Reserve “System”, for the endless campaign funds that they provided for his election, which allowed the tyrants in the U.S. Congress and several Administrations to borrow us into incremental oblivion and all manner of Constitutional contempt ever since.

Benjamin Franklin once said; “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. “   It should be obvious to all of us now that simply electing Republicans is not the answer to our problems.  The answer is in finding a way to ENFORCE THE LAW that we wrote, established and ordained in The Constitution by our individual authority bestowed upon us by our creator.   Especially, but not limited to, Article 1 Section 8 as further supported by the 9^th and 10^th Amendments in The Bill of Rights.

Is it not clear that, according to THE LAW, the U.S. Government was ‘borrowed’ certain powers by us, from our authority given to us individually by our creator, to ONLY handle these SEVENTEEN ‘enumerated’ powers for the ‘privilege’ of serving us at and for our convenience?  Is it not true that the veracity of this is clearly written in The Declaration of Independence as followed up by the dovetail LAWs as written in The Constitution?  When, may I ask, did any Republican serve to reverse any significant numbers of usurpations of authority enacted through these nearly ten decades of incremental tyranny, which have ultimately resulted in the clear display of despotism we see by our current non-representing Representatives and Administration on TV nightly?

It may be true that Democrats are even worse, but for me, I will never ever vote for a Republican again unless he or she promises to completely reverse EVERY SINGLE character of constitutionally contemptuous usurpation in legislation ever drafted.

 If the Federal Government were to obey the law, especially but not limited to, Article 1 Section 8, can you imagine how, after about five years of the imminent financial hardship which lies before us due to our unsustainable economy based on pieces of almost worthless paper and ink called FEDERAL RESERVE “NOTES” that are worth 100 cents each only in our minds, when in reality they are worth 2 – 3 cents each, crashing,,,  quickly the vast majority of our average common workingmen and women would become relatively wealthy once again in the environment of true liberty and freedom.  The potential of what would happen if the LAW was obeyed by our Federal Government is almost too much for the human mind to comprehend.  Ask yourself, how fast would we individually recover financially if we were free to keep almost everything we earned rather than Government spending it?  Just the thought of all of those Trillions being left in our hands and our economy is utterly mind blowing.

Would any Republican be willing to force compliance with Constitutional Law in full force and effect?  I don’t think that these liars would.  And this comment is coming from a registered Republican and supporter of 32 years.

BUT NO MORE!  You are either for the complete Constitution WORD FOR WORD, in spirit and intent as it WAS meant when it was ratified or you can FORGET MY VOTE!  PERIOD!  You damn lying traitors!
