The colonies refused to pay the levies required by the Townsend Acts claiming they had no obligation to pay taxes imposed by a Parliament in which they had no representation. In response, Parliament retracted the taxes with the exception of a duty on tea – a demonstration of Parliament’s ability and right to tax the colonies. In May of 1773 Parliament concocted a clever plan. They gave the struggling East India Company a monopoly on the importation of tea to America. Additionally, Parliament reduced the duty the colonies would have to pay for the imported tea. The Americans would now get their tea at a cheaper price than ever before. However, if the colonies paid the duty tax on the imported tea they would be acknowledging Parliament’s right to tax them. Tea was a staple of colonial life – it was assumed that the colonists would rather pay the tax than deny themselves the pleasure of a cup of tea.

The Liberty Tree Lantern recommends not to forget to prepare your effigies in the likeness of your least favorate Congressmen like Senator Harry pork Reid or our Speaker of the House Nancy spend all the taxpayer money you can, give nothing back, Pelosi or the head Communist in Chief himself B.O.. Of course we shouldn’t forget the creators of “The Matrix” (Our Economy that only exists as programmed into our minds, created by wealth printed out of thin air, paper and ink monopoly money), THE FEDERAL RESERVE! The ONLY way to regain our individual prosperity, on the other side of this Great Depression, is to restore actual “true” FREEDOM (which means Freedom from Government or “Self-government” under Natural Law and no “free stuff” from Government) by we the people forcing the U.S. Government to obey the law as written in the Constitution WORD for WORD, with NO CHANGES, to the spirit and intent as they “were” meant on the day they were drafted.
In the spirit of this cause We The People Congress have called for a new Continental Congress to convene in Philadelphia to discuss actionable activities to compel the U.S. Congress to comport to the laws that we did ordain and establish for our happiness, prosperity and protection from the activities that Government has done to cause us to be in the nightmare of our economic disaster.
This Capt. Karl would be interested in being a delegate for The State of Wisconsin, if I could get enough financial support from my readers, fellow statesmen and countrymen.

This Financial Crisis is Not Even Close To the Far Worse Financial Problem of Social Security and Medicare Crisis, which will bring an end to our entire financial system, no matter what! A blessing in disguise. For without the suffering for several years of the coming economic collapse we would completely lose our freedom and continue in the slavery at the hands of the owner bankers of The Federal Reserve System which controls our money supply that created the entire problem.
This calamity will cause us to find out how everything is supposed to be in terms of The Constitution and The Declaration of Independence instead of just going on daily with our earnings and our power being usurped by the despots in Congress and above them the mostly foreign owned Federal Reserve company which controls all of our lives and the Federal Government on a daily controlling basis through control and gross manipulation of our nation’s money supply and direct lending to the Government.

It had a sign around it’s neck that quoted Senator Harry Reid; “We will allow more drilling for oil, in The Gulf of Mexico, so you can have lower gasoline, energy and food prices, OVER MY DEAD BODY.” The sign also had the picture of him giving “the finger” to the American people as he spoke on the floor of the Senate, as posted elsewhere in this forum.

With the exception of Ron Paul, all of this year’s presidential candidates, past and present, would have us believe these activities are mere matters of public policy.

How important is the Constitution?
It’s a set of principles to govern the Government, not the People.
We are not mentioned except in the preamble that says We the People establish the Constitution to secure the blessings of Liberty.
The Constitution is all the stands between the People and total tyranny and despotism.
