The day after White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s Clintonesque plan to triangulate and divide Republicans and doctors failed a major newspaper published this headline: “Democrats Lose Big Test Vote on Health Legislation.” The title was so fair and balanced many media obsessed White House advisers could have attributed it to Fox News. Yet, it was the New York Times that captured in a well-written, fair and subtle story the depth of the challenge the White House faces in its push to enact major health care reform legislation.

As the Times reported, “[Majority Leader Reid] needed 60 votes to proceed. He won only 47. And he could not blame Republicans. A dozen Democrats and one independent crossed party lines and voted with Republicans …”

The first lesson for the White House in this defeat is that public concern about the deficit is real, not manufactured. Twelve Democrats opposed the Emanuel strategy not just on principle but sound political judgment. Senate Democrats understand that voters, by a two to one margin, want Congress to address the deficit first, then health care. They knew that the effort to spend a quarter of a trillion dollar outside of the reform process was shameless and fiscally irresponsible. As Ron Wyden (D-WA), one of the “no” votes, said in the Times article, “On the eve of a historic debate on health care, it’s essential to show a commitment to real reform,” which includes fiscal responsibility.

The Washington Post – not Fox News – went farther and blasted the Emanuel/Reid triangulation strategy, calling it “nonsensical” and “sleight of hand.” As the Post wrote: “The political imperative is twofold: to make certain that Republicans don’t use the physician payment issue to bring down the larger bill and to placate the American Medical Association … A president who says that he is serious about dealing with the dire fiscal picture cannot credibly begin by charging this one to the national credit card, with no concern for the later generations who will have to pay the bill.”

The nation’s doctors also understood the strategy and weren’t impressed by Emanuel and Reid’s plan to manipulate them into backing off of their support for tort reform. A poll on Sermo.com – a Facebook-like site which represents 110,000 real world physicians who sacrifice their own time to participate in a serious public debate about health care (in contrast to the American Medical Association, which represents itself and its Washington lobbying shop) included troubling results for the Democrats negotiating in secret. Sixty-five percent of nearly 1,000 respondents said they were “very concerned” about the Senate passing a fix for their own profession that was not offset, and 77 percent said they were “very unsatisfied” or “unsatisfied” with the substance of the so-called fix.

If the first lesson is to get serious about the deficit, the second lesson for the White House is to go back to first principles and conduct this effort with more maturity and less partisanship.

When Barack Obama launched his campaign in 2007 he said, “… it’s not the magnitude of our problems that concerns me the most. It’s the smallness of our politics … We have to change our politics, and come together around our common interests and concerns as Americans.”

Why then, on the eve of the most important domestic policy debate in a generation, are the President’s advisers talking about Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News? Is this really a common interest and concern among Americans? Would the average voter consider this form of politics to be big or small?

By spending time on juvenile and crass partisan strategies the President’s advisers triangulated the wrong target – their own allies. Their tone and tactics united Republicans (all 40 voted against the doctor fix) and caused 12 key allies to fall away.

The Barack Obama I know and worked with in the Senate (through his initiation) is capable of so much more. America needs that Barack Obama to change the tone and go back to attacking problems rather than personalities.

If he does, he’ll find plenty of friends ready to work with him – old and new. Every Republican wants to enact comprehensive health care reform that lowers costs, improves quality and increases choice. No matter how often our motives are questioned we will be ready to discuss plans like the Patients’ Choice Act, which I’m sponsoring with Senator Burr (R-NC) and Representatives Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Devin Nunes (R-CA), that cover more people than the Democrat plans without pushing our economy off a cliff.

Yes, elections have consequences. The White House certainly has the right to continue its clever partisan strategy. Yet, history shows this process will succeed only if it is truly bipartisan. The doctor fix debate showed that partisanship is the far riskier road.

Michael Hilton of American Police Force

We have been watching with fascination the story out of Montana about a mysterious security company called American Police Force that was slated to take over operation of a never-used jail in the town of Hardin.

Earlier postings noted some of the twists and turns, including word that one of the front men for the APF, Michael Hilton, had a criminal record in California, that the company had changed its name to American Private Police Force, that one company SUV showed up bearing a decal that said “City of Hardin Police Department. ”

Equally interesting, no one seemed to be able to say what the company would be doing at the jail or, where it would get prisoners to fill it. All of which was enough to prod the Montana attorney general to begin looking into the deal.

Now it appears that the whole thing is unraveling. Greg Smith, the executive director of Two Rivers Authority, the Hardin economic development arm that signed the original deal, has now resigned reports the Billings Gazette. No reason was given for his departure. The TRA lawyer who structured the deal is also being replaced.
 
“We won’t move forward,” says Gary Arneson, president of the TRA, which owns the jail. “I don’t think any of us want to be on the chopping block.”

In another twist, the AP reports that an international security executive that local officials were told would run the jail, says that’s not true, that he only had cursory conversations with Hilton about the position.

As for Hilton, the the San Jose Mercury News reports that a California judge has ordered him to appear in court later this month over an outstanding judgment in a fraud lawsuit. Stay tuned.

WAKE  UP AND  SMELL THE   green “hybrid” of  SOCIALISM,  COMMUNISM,  AND   FASCISIM  people!  How long are you going to take living on only 20% of your earnings?  You better think about that, because in less than two years that will be the reality, unless you decide to talk about these things with your neighbors, friends, family, relatives and whenever you venture out of your home with everyone you meet.  And learn what the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United (but independent and sovereign) States of America says.

Do you suppose that this American Police Force of professional highly trained mercenaries might be the ones who train our 18 – 25 year old children conscripts who are soon being compelled by the U.S. Government to join the Civilian National Security Force?  You children, after and with continued indoctrination of “green” Socialist, Communist, Fascist, multicultural, politically correct Obamasonian ways may well find themselves going to Fort Hardin for training one of these days in the very near future.  How else will our Government and the IRS be able to collect this level of income and other taxes on the average common American and keep us under CONTROL?

If you are just beginning to wake up with regards to all of this I would highly recommend that you start learning about all of these things that are directly impacting your life, employment, and personal financial affairs by reading all of the articles on this blog.  If you are just beginning to realize the seriousness of what is happening, you have a lot of catching up to do.  I have been researching these things and the associated economics resultant from incremental Constitutional contempt by both houses of the U.S. Congress, several Administrations and even the Judicial branch, of both political parties, of the U.S. Government, that has been occurring since 1913, for about 26 years now.  These tyrants and scofflaws have really put us in a bind.  But, there is a solution.  Unfortunately the medicine is going to be very bitter and result in about five years of financial horror because we MUST allow The MATRIX, our economy that only exists in our minds our prison formed by The Federal Reserve and our U.S. Government, so that we can be truly free and thereby rebuild our economy through hard work using real AMERICAN money, gold and silver coin as per the LAW in The Constitution under Article 1 Section 8, and not FEDERAL RESERVE “NOTES”.

When and if they find a way to pass this health care bill, not only will it cost TRILLIONS more than they tell us, like Social Security and Medicare are now $99,000,000,000,000.00 (NINTY NINE TRILLION DOLLARS and NO Sense) in UNFUNDED liabilities, over the infinite horizon, they will have so much power and personal / sensitive information on each one of us, they will be able to induce us into doing anything against our will.  Don’t you see how EVERYBODIES freedom is being destroyed?  Once this is started up it cannot be reversed short of a hot Re-Revolutionary war due to national dependency, much like Social Security and Medicare debacles are right now.  Please stop this people.  It is in your hands.  You must RISE UP, while you still have a few moments of time.  How will our economy survive another Social Security/Medicare like entitlement?  Certainly this will totally destroy our country, if the $99 Trillion Dollar Social Security and Medicare debacles and UNFUNDED LIABILITIES weren’t going to do it by themselves.

The Constitutional scofflaws in the U.S. Government are building power, people.  Why do you think that they are ignoring so many Thousands on top of Thousands of people screaming STOP across America?  They are going to, eventually and imminently, take everybodies personal health insurance program away by making it impossible for health insurance companies to exist.  How can any company compete against a company that can steal money from hundreds of millions of people in the form of taxes, and if that isn’t enough they just have their personal “private” company, called The Federal Reserve, print more?

Nationalized / Socialized / Universal Medicine will be the final nail in the coffin of freedom, individual privacy, individual rights and individual prosperity.

And, now they are going to try to pass what will eventually lead to Government run, Nationalized Health Care?  Even in the face of $99 TRILLION in UNFUNDED liabilities of Social Security and Medicare?  THIS   IS   MADNESS ! ! ! ! !

And, this is also one of the reasons why Obama is building a huge Civilian Defense Force with our children conscripted to enter this “Defense Force” to “serve” between the ages of 18 and 25.  This force will be utilized to control us as poverty sets in and we are all force MARCHED TO THE inner core of major cities where they can “control” our “Carbon Footprint” easier and where they can “control” us easier.  They will say they are doing it to provide a roof over our head, food, and a job.  It is apart of the plan for the one world U.N. style welfare BIG BROTHER police State.  Can they “Behavior Modify” our minds has they have been since the 1950s bringing us to tear apart our families to where we don’t even eat meals together anymore and even get some of us to reject God? 

“YES WE CAN!”

It is quite evident that The American People are demanding that The Federal Government return to obeying ALL THE LAWS that are imposed upon them in The Constitution of the United (but INDEPENDENT and SOVEREIGN) States of America, word for word to the FULLEST EXTENT down to the intent and spirit of the LAW as it was written, established and ordained BY US on them.

Our fellow countrymen are learning what we all should have been taught in school.  That there are ONLY SEVENTEEN powers that we ‘borrowed’ our authority, that we were given by God, for the ‘privilege’ of handling for us.  We are beginning to understand why our founders wrote this list of ONLY Seventeen items for the U.S. Government to do and the rest was to be done by the individual, independent, sovereign States or by the people.

If these LAWS were to be fully OBEYED by our Government it would shrink by 4/5ths and the result would be prosperity for the vast majority of our average common working men and women because TRILLIONS on TOP of Trillions of Dollars worth would remain in our hands and in our economy.  And, according to the same document of LAW, The Constitution, our money would return back to gold or silver coin and/or bullion as we wrote in Our Constitution on Government.

We have learned how The Constitution is the answer to our national financial problem and, thereby,  ultimately We The People are the answer to the problem that a scofflaw U.S. Government has created using our own money against us.  We The People MUST ENFORCE our LAWS on ALL THREE BRANCHES of the U.S. Government, word for word.

Step 2: Train yourself to combat right-wing tactics

Since early February, we’ve seen increasing numbers of militant right-wing activists attending public meetings across the country targeting Members of Congress and President Obama. Now in the August recess, the “tea-bagger” protesters and right-wing activists are showing up in larger numbers with a mission to be as disruptive as possible in the hopes of rattling Members of Congress and halting health care reform through pure spectacle and obstruction.

Our response is shaped by 3 things:

• Our targets are Members of Congress who must vote “yes” for this bill. Our targets are not the right-wing extremists. The targets of these attacks are Members of Congress. Those Members are also our targets. We need to use these attacks as opportunities to work with the Members in ways that build our relationship in the field and bring us together as allies in health care reform. Members may be more receptive to partnering with us if they know we will help them combat the opposition.
• Our core message is effective, and we should always come back to it. Our campaign plan has always anticipated opposition. No matter what the right-wingers bring up to distract the debate, we should always circle back to our key message. We are on the side of quality, affordable health care for everyone, and we are against turning over health care reform to the insurance companies and lobbyists who got us into this mess to begin with. We need to educate the press and the public that the protesters are aligned with the corporate lobbyists and insurance companies who are trying to stop reform.
• Our ability to put the extremists into perspective helps us frame our narrative. We should be prepared to respond to the other side, but we don’t need to be reactive or feel pressure to answer their accusations point by point. Instead, we should treat them as agents of the insurance lobbyists who want to maintain the status quo. We can dismiss their radical rhetoric by circling back to the basic things that we know most people care about—affordability, access, and quality.

In many cases, protestors will show up at events or meetings you don’t organize but are participating in as an attendee or sponsor. You can still influence the outcome of these events or meetings, and it’s important for HCAN organizers and leaders to be ready to encounter these protesters in order to make sure that our volunteers and activists respond appropriately as well as capitalize on opportunities to also move our message, work with Members, and educate the public.
Who are these people?
The people who show up are far right-wing ideologues recruited by paid organizers. Much of this recruitment and organizing is funded by industry lobbyists and public relations firms to engage radical right-wing groups. Many of these groups are motivated by far right ideology in general – not by health care as an issue. They are held together by a common vision of the world that centers on defeating Obama and his agenda. We can expect to see anti-abortion groups, pro-gun groups, insurance company employees (mandated by employers to come out), militia groups, and anti-immigration groups.
What are their goals in turning out disruptive mobs?
Their goal is to stop Obama, influence the media, and scare Members of Congress into thinking that there is more resistance to health care reform than really exists. The attendees are not reflective of the middle or average Republican Party member. Insurance industry lobbyists and public relations firms recruit mostly right-wing extremists who are willing to employ militant tactics in order to demonize Obama by tapping into fear and anger in the electorate. The fear comes from both aggressive communications tactics and rhetoric: anti-tax, anti-abortion, anti-immigration, and other themes that resonate with the farthest right wing of their party.
What is the strategy of the lobbyists and right-wingers who are orchestrating these protests?
The most important thing to remember about this type of mobilization is that it is foremost a media strategy, not an organizing strategy. These angry mobs are not trying to persuade Members of Congress or the folks who are attending the event about their point of view. Their goal is to disrupt the event as much as possible in order to:

1. Prevent our message from getting out.
2. Scare Members of Congress into silence and submission.
3. Paint a picture for the media that conveys widespread disapproval for health care reform in order to influence the narrative.
4. Create as much tension as possible at these events so that the average spectator is completely turned off and disengages totally from this issue.

What can we expect them to do?

• They will be loud: They will “Yell, stand up and shout out, and rattle” the Members of Congress. They will be disruptive and not follow the agenda. They won’t wait for an opening to speak. They will just interrupt and shout from the minute the event opens until it ends.
• They will paint a picture: They will carry a lot of signs. They will have gimmicks and props to get attention from the MOCs and from the media.
• They will look bigger than they are: They will spread out and distribute their signs widely. They will also get in front of any TV camera or press people in order to make sure the story that is reported is their story.
• They will seek confrontation: The right-wing protesters will foster confrontation at every turn because that’s what draws media and distracts the public. They will use any means to do this including abusive language, arrests, props, and physical violence. Be prepared.

How should we prepare to encounter the right wing protesters at MOC events?

1. Contact friendly MOCs and let them know you are coming to make sure our side is heard and that the event is positive. Provide constructive support for Members of Congress who are holding public events to promote health care reform by turning out constituents and anticipating problems ahead of time. Ask the Member’s staff what would be most helpful and talk through a strategy for making sure the right messages don’t get drowned out by chaotic protesters.
2. Inoculate your staff and your volunteers by telling them what to expect and what purpose lies behind the right-wing demonstrations. The more that the attendees know what to expect; the less startled they will be by the irrational tone and militancy of the protesters.
3. Bring more people than the other side has. Their side will be smaller but noisier. You must bring enough people to drown them out and to cover all our bases so as to marginalize their disruptive tactics. You don’t want to get into a screaming match, but it must be obvious to everyone—including press—that you represent the majority.
4. Arrive earlier than the other side does. We need to stack our folks in the front to create a wall around the Member, and we need to stake out the best spots for visibility and signs. Reconnaissance on the venue and an understanding of the staging will be important here. Make sure you do your homework so you can position your folks most effectively.
5. Be more visible than the other side. Bring more signs and leaflets, and whenever possible, post your signs all over the place so that you visually out-perform the other side. Make sure you have people holding signs in every place where a TV camera is likely to be and that next to every right wing sign, there’s one of your signs with your message.
6. Have a real plan for the media. Remember, this is a communications strategy that the right wing is using and our goal is to stop them from hijacking and changing the message and tone of these events. Assign 3-5 people to speak with the reporters who attend and make sure the reporters understand the scope and message of the event. If you let the media just report on what they see, they will invariably focus on the mayhem. That is a far juicer story than affordability and the public health insurance option. Don’t wait for the reporter to approach you. You must approach the reporters and be assertive in shaping the narrative that they write. Have someone assigned to greeting the media or checking in media as they arrive. That way you will know who they are and be able to work with them both during the event and afterwards. Also, plan to record both the events you attend and the events you organize. TV stations will use amateur footage to round out their stories, and the other side is recording and posting video online. We need to be able to give the press video of successful events too.

How should we interact/what do we say to the other side?

1. Do not debate on their “policy” points. Remember, they are seeking a platform to distort the truth about reform by making health care about abortion, rationing, euthanasia, etc. Rather than try to reply with the truth (which won’t move them anyway) we should respond with our message and at every turn re-focus the agenda on communicating with the Member of Congress.
2. Interrupt them when they get disruptive and refocus the meeting: Line up a number of people who feel comfortable interrupting and prepare them with statements like:
   • Excuse me, I came today to listen to Representative XXX explain how this bill is going to make health care more affordable for me and my family. We’re being gouged by insurance companies that just want to make more profits while we struggle to keep up with premiums and co-pays. Representative, how are you going to fix that?”
   • “I’m retired and can’t afford my prescription drugs because I’m on a fixed income. Representative, how is this bill going to affect me?”
   • “I want to hear the Representative speak. He’s the one voting on the bill. Representative, how will this bill help people who already have insurance at work?”
   • “What I’m worried about is how we’re going to keep the insurance companies from continuing to charge people more for being sick and keep them from taking away coverage when we need it most. What’s the plan for that?”
3. Don’t get into a shouting match with them. Instead, prep people on our side to keep raising the questions that we want answered. Repetition is the key. We need to arm our side with questions that play to the strength of our message and make sure we keep bringing them up over and over so that the press recognizes those central themes. We should also phrase those questions strategically to help move the message.
   • “Over the last XX years, insurance company profits have risen XXX %; in this bill you would regulate insurance companies so that they can no longer deny people with pre-existing conditions and would have to play by fair rules. Isn’t that right, Representative XX?”
   • “Isn’t it true that this bill would guarantee everyone a choice of public health insurance option that will lower cost overall in the system?”
4. Address the MOC directly with a positive message: Remember, these Members need cover and they are getting beaten up by right wing zealots in these meetings. We want to let the Member know that we appreciate his efforts to hear constituents and that we, the majority, agree with him.
5. We should demonstrate that we are the majority by chanting: When the other side gets too loud, we should shut them down with chants that counter their message like “Health Care Can’t Wait!” and “Health Care Delayed is Health Care Denied” and prep people to chant at key points when the other side gets most disruptive.
6. Follow up with the Member one-on-one: This experience may have been trying for your MOC. Make sure that you thank him and that you let him know that the majority is with him. He needs to know that we will provide cover and support him at every turn for his leadership on this issue.

Organizing your own events with a Member of Congress

One advantage to organizing your own Town Hall or public event with Members of Congress is that you will have much more control over the event and limit the other side’s opportunities for disruption. Still, you should take precautions to make sure that you can keep meetings you organize under control. Here are some basic tips:

1. Talk to the Member of Congress ahead of time so that you agree on a format that is comfortable for the Member and that you can troubleshoot roles or concerns that the Member may have about the event. It is important to know how much time the Member will have, when he will arrive, what staff he’s bringing, and how many questions he’ll answer so that you can anticipate any issues that may arise and can plan your program appropriately.
2. Know who you are turning out to attend the event. Make sure you turn out a substantial number of people from your base and that everyone signs a sign in sheet upon entering the event. Give everyone name tags so they are easily identifiable. If you want to ensure greater control over turnout, you can ask attendees to rsvp or even issue tickets to the event and require presentation of the ticket at the entrance.
3. Choose a venue that is difficult for the opposition to access without being noticed. Get to your location early and make sure you set up the venue in a way that ensures that the attendees you want are at the front and that any protesters who come are sequestered as far as possible from the stage. Make sure that you have signs and visuals up and that you adequately understand the layout of your venue so that you know where the entrances are, where the press will be positioned, where your speakers will be, etc.
4. Select a strong moderator to move the agenda in a disciplined way. Make sure you select someone who is comfortable interrupting rowdy protesters, who can command the attention of the room, and who understands how to de-escalate tensions and re-direct people to the agenda.
5. Lay out goals for the meeting and establish ground rules for conduct in the meeting at the beginning of the event. Among these ground rules should be a protocol for asking questions. One way to do this is to ask people to submit questions ahead of time on cards, to permit only one question at a time, and to limit the topic of questions.
6. Plan for disturbances and assign marshals. Make sure that you assign marshals to take care of moving the crowd, keeping people organized and orderly, and acting as security should any need arise to ask noisy or disruptive protesters to leave. If you have cause to think that you will need more back-up, notify the police ahead of time.
7. Collect signs and leaflets that are not provided by you or your organization. Another way to limit protesters’ ability to hijack your event is to confiscate signs or leaflets that they may bring into the venue from outside. The best way to do this is to make a blanket rule that no one can bring signs or leaflets and to advertise this fact as you do turn out in the weeks preceding the event. You can distribute your own signs in the event and offer them one as they enter if you choose to allow them to enter.
8. Assign people to greet the media and to stay close to reporters both as they enter and leave the event. It’s important that you take away right-wingers opportunities to talk with reporters by making sure that your staff or leaders are in constant contact with the media who attend. You should set up a special table or area for the press to sit during the event and that area should be close t the stage and away from any areas of the venue where protesters may gather. Also make sure you have materials ready for the reporters so that they know the purpose and message of the event.

My family and I are avid viewers of the Glenn Beck TV program on Fox News. 

 It has come to our attention that Sprint has dropped advertising on Mr. Beck’s program due to a relatively small number of left leaning “organized“ political activists that have contacted your firm.

 I would like to point out that Mr. Beck has MILLIONS of TV viewers every single night of the week.  His ratings are extremely high and growing at an unprecedented rate.

 My family and I would respectfully request that your firm resume advertising on the program which, due to the millions of supporting viewers, would result in a tremendous benefit for Sprint as well.

 Please reply with an answer as to when your advertising will resume so we know when we can utilize Sprint products in good conscience.

The Wall Street Journal just published a shocking editorial written by a respected University President, confirming the Obama Administration is now using VA hospitals to order doctors to pressure all military veterans to sign “pull the plug” do-not-resuscitate orders, hastening their premature deaths through mandatory “end of life” counseling. 

President Jim Towey of Saint Vincent’s College, founder of the non-profit “Aging With Dignity” and former White House Director of faith based initiatives, wrote a blistering expose entitled “The Death Book For Veterans,” revealing President Obama’s new Veterans Administration (VA) directive, presumably signed by VA Secretary, General (ret.) Eric Shinseki, which mandates all veterans’ primary care physicians must graphically discuss “end of life planning” with all VA patients (not merely those nearing death), and must refer them to “Your Life, Your Choices,” a book that openly encourages Euthanasia and was written with guidance from the group formerly known as the Hemlock Society. That same pro-suicide group now boasts on their web-site of directly leading the charge to ensure “end of life counseling” is mandated in the Obamacare bill, HR 3200.  

On page 21 of the Shinseki-mandated Veteran’s Euthanasia book, all military veterans are encouraged to complete a checklist of various scenarios, to decide whether their own life would be “not worth living.”  For example, the booklet asks veterans 7 questions pressuring veterans to sign a “living will” that authorizes doctors to terminate your life, if you are:

1) Living in a nursing home?  

2) Being in a wheelchair? 

3) Not able to “shake the blues?” 

4) Ever heard anyone say, “If I’m a vegetable, pull the plug?” 

5) No longer able to contribute to your family’s well-being?   

6) Are you a severe financial burden to your family? 

7) Do you cause severe emotional burden for your family? 

“This hurry-up-and-die message is clear and unconscionable,” says Towey, “Worse, a July 2009 VA directive [presumably signed by Shinseki] instructs its primary care physicians to raise advance care planning with all VA patients and to refer them to ‘Your Life, Your Choices.’ [the Euthanasia booklet.]  Not just those of advanced age and debilitated condition—all patients. America’s 24 million veterans deserve better.”  Towey recommends a “five wishes” living-will document that does not pressure suicide.

But instead the Hemlock Society booklet is now MANDATED for doctor referral to all patients in all VA hospitals, heaping more evidence upon the growing list of proofs that the Obama Administration is LYING TO THE PUBLIC by denying their health care plan pushes Euthanasia on the elderly. They already do it today.  Just imagine if ALL hospitals become government-run like the VA.

OBAMA ACCUSES HIMSELF AND FELLOW DEMOCRATS OF LYING

Obama held a conference call with reportedly 140,000 members of the “religious left” and accused himself of lying, saying that anybody who claims his health care plan funds abortion violates Exodus 20:16, “thou shalt not bear false witness.”  But Obama knows his fellow Democrats supported the Capps Amendment to HR 3200 funding abortions through an accounting-scheme, and defeated pro-life amendments prohibiting abortion funding. On July 17, 2007, Obama himself told Planned Parenthood, “in my mind, reproductive care [abortion] is at the center and at the heart of the plan that I propose. [My] plan…will provide…reproductive services [abortion].”  It now appears Obama is calling himself a liar, since he personally believes his own plan must contain funding for abortion.  

The Capps Amendment has a Section 4B that reads: “Abortions for Which Public Funding Is Allowed. — The services described in this subparagraph are abortions for which the expenditure of Federal funds appropriated for the Department of Health and Human Services is permitted…” As the Washington Times analysis says, “You can’t get more explicit than that.”  But Obama calls a liar anybody who reads the bill aloud, verbatim.

Obama further accused as “bearing false witness” anyone who claims his plan will result in “death panels” that ration care to the young at the expense of the elderly.  That must first include his own Democrat White House Health Policy Advisor, Ezekiel Emanuel.  

In an article entitled “Deadly Doctors,” The New York Post just confirmed from Democrat Emanuel’s own writings, the White House plan prefers ”communitarianism” which should guide decisions on who gets care. Emanuel says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia” (JAMA, Feb. 27, 2008).  NY Post’s translation: “Don’t give much care to a grandmother with Parkinson’s or a child with cerebral palsy.”  Grandma’s memory slipping?  Obama’s Death Panel convenes to de-fund her care.  Emanuel said so, read his quote again, confirming Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich were right after all.

Emanuel explicitly defends discrimination against older patients: “Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination; every person lives through different life stages rather than being a single age. Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years” (Lancet, Jan. 31).   EXCUSE ME?  Obamacare funds 25 year olds, but excludes 65 year olds? RATIONING, DEATH PANELS, SMOKING GUN.  Don’t accuse conservatives of bearing false witness, Mr. Obama, until you first accuse your own Health Policy Advisor.   

This quote is direct proof that Obama’s COMMUNITARIANISM (like Socialism only bigger, on steroids, like Communism), favors treating the young at the expense of the old.  

1) More Proof EUTHANASIA is pushed by Obama’s socialist government “health” care.

President Obama had been confronted by a North Carolina woman asking if “everyone that’s Medicare age will be visited and told they have to decide how they wish to die.”  

In response Obama joked morbidly about euthanasia, that he hadn’t yet hired enough bureaucrats to conduct such an operation, yet he could not deny the New York Post’s discovery the House bill ”compels seniors to submit to a counseling session every five years (and more often if they become sick or go into a nursing home) about alternatives for end-of-life care” (pages 425-430).  In other words, your grandmother will be told, when insufficient resources are rationed to young people, that her duty to die begins with mandatory “end-of-life counseling,” or as Obama explained, “encourage the use of living wills” that terminate otherwise salvageable lives prematurely through signed “do not resuscitate” (DNR) legal releases that authorize “pulling the plug” on Grandma.  

The White House made a quick video to refute claims of euthanasia in the health care bill, but interestingly they deleted Obama’s quote about living wills, and AARP sent emails claiming rumors about euthanasia in the bill were generated by conspiracy theorists.  But then a respected bioethicist wrote a scathing editorial in the Washington Post, confirming that euthanasia is initiated by the government in the bill.  Lane writes:

“Consultations envisioned in Section 1233 aren’t quite ‘purely voluntary.’  To me, ‘purely voluntary’ means ‘not unless the patient requests one.’ Section 1233, however, lets doctors initiate the chat and gives them an incentive — money — to do so. Indeed, that’s an incentive to insist.  Patients may refuse without penalty, but many will bow to white-coated authority. Once they’re in the meeting, the bill does permit ‘formulation’ of a plug-pulling order right then and there.”  

Lane agrees the legislation mandates the doctor ‘shall‘ discuss living wills and durable powers of attorney, and their uses:  ”Section 1233 goes beyond facilitating doctor input to preferring it. Indeed, the measure would have an interested party — the government — recruit doctors to sell the elderly on living wills, hospice care and their associated providers, professions and organizations.  You don’t have to be a right-wing wacko to question that approach” says the Washington Post.  

Bankrupt state can’t afford to pay for grandma’s hip replacement?  Obama’s plan turns her doctor into a lawyer, paid by Uncle Sam to persuade her to sign a DNR, explaining her hastened duty to die, and obtaining her signature legally absolving him of all guilt.   Lane says he personally has a living will, but doctors shouldn’t be paid extra by the government to push them on seniors.  Euthanasia begins when socialism replaces capitalism.

AARP LYING TO SENIORS TO PROFIT FROM OBAMACARE?

The seniors advocacy group AARP defended Obamacare, stating in emails to seniors:  ”FACT #3: There is no provision of any piece of legislation that would promote euthanasia of any kind. The rumors out there are flat out lies…It is not mandatory and it has nothing to do with euthanasia.”  But since the House bill includes the legal term “shall,” the Dean of Liberty University School of Law Mat Staver disagrees.  ”I just went back and re-read the bill. The end-of-life counseling is mandatory and there is a 5 year requirement that it must occur every 5 years. The bill is on our website and people can read it for themselves. It is not new that AARP favors killing their own members. They…do not have the best interests of their members in mind.”  

Attorney Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel had stronger words.  ”AARP is lying. See pages 424, 425 and 426 of HR 3200. The government ‘consultation’ that seniors ’shall’ get if they have ‘not had such a consultation within the last 5 years’ is clearly designed to encourage them to get out of the way and to just go ahead and die already.”  

Widely respected Minister Rick Joyner wrote, after reviewing Mat Staver’s detailed analysis of H.R. 3200 “Health” care bill, voicing his strong opinion that this bill “is about euthanasia, the power to determine who lives or dies in America. Hitler and Stalin would have loved to have had a means such as this for dispatching the millions they killed—it would have made their job much easier, and probably given them the ability to kill many more than they did. THIS BILL IS THAT SINISTER. This is not a joke.”

2) Tax-payer funded ABORTION on demand is another guaranteed result.  

   

3) Obama will REMOVE Christian prayers and symbols from Government-run hospitals

The hostile socialist government takeover of Catholic or Christian hospitals will eventually result in atheistic silencing of religious expression (and removing all Christian symbols) from the very place where faith in God is critical to sick and dying patients.  For example, look at the Veterans Hospitals, already government-run, who are busy removing crosses and Christian symbols from their chapels (like in Iowa), because easily-offended atheist complainers have successfully intimidated hospital administrators with threats of lawsuit, by demanding separation of church and state.  Just imagine more atheist lawsuits, when all Catholic and Christian hospitals are seized in the same way Obama took control of General Motors, inviting easily-offended atheist complainers to demand we change the name of the hospital from “St. Luke’s Memorial” to the “Obama Government” hospital,  falsely claiming tax-dollars cannot subsidize religion.  But if St. Luke’s refuses government subsidies, they will be drummed out of business, and Christian doctors’ licenses revoked.

Can a government-run hospital still allow Christian chapels, or pay Christian chaplains, or permit Christian doctors to pray Christian prayers with their willing patients, or even allow Christian parents to control the health care options forced upon their dying children?  Just ask Florida Hospital Chaplain Danny Harvey, fired last year from Leesburg Regional Medical Center because he prayed “in Jesus name” at a public memorial service.   Ask Christian Pharmacists who Washington has already forced to dispense “Plan-B” abortion pills against their conscience, or doctors denied a “conscience clause” to opt out of abortions when Obama refused to renew Bush’s pro-life executive orders.  Ask Nurse Catherina Lorena Cenzon-DeCarlo, who recently was forced to participate in a second-trimester abortion against her will, and is now suing Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan for “blatantly” violating her rights under a 35 year old federal law that protects health care workers with religious objections from being forced to assist in murderous abortions.  Ask Pentecostal Ministers Dale and Leilani Neumann, who were charged with second-degree murder of their 11-year-old daughter, because they refused to trust the power of a government hospital to heal their little girl who tragically died with diabetes.  Can you say mandatory godlessness in “health” care?  If government has power to dictate your health care options, they also have power to seize your children when you refuse. Think about it.  Will you dare refuse the H1N1 vaccine when ordered to poison your children?  No religious exemptions for doctors, patients, or parents are readily apparent in the current Obamacare bill.  So take action with me…

So let me summarize Obama’s health care plan:  1) Euthanize grandma and veterans, 2) Mandate funding murder of innocent children, then lie about it in denial, 3) Empower atheist litigants to outlaw the healing power of the Christian faith.

 

We all gasped when the federal government seized control of General Motors, and Obama effectively fired the Chairman and replaced the board with government bureaucrats selected by Treasury Secretary Geithner.  Now Obama and his liberal Democratic House allies want to replace your doctors with bureaucrats, hasten grandma’s demise, abort and kill children in urban neighborhoods, cut doctors’ pay and control their religion, and transform Christian hospitals into government-controlled atheist bureaucracies.  Does any of this remind you of Communism?  I won’t stand idly by to allow this.  I will fax Congress to say, “no to Obamacare.”  Will you?  Please sign our petition and I’ll send your faxes now.  Then please forward this email to all your friends who care about our beloved country, especially those senior citizens who may be at greatest risk.
