The same groups who made the “tax tea parties” possible in April are planning anti-Obamacare rallies across the country Saturday in all 435 congressional districts.

FOXNews.com

Friday, August 21, 2009

If Democratic lawmakers thought all the furor over President Obama’s health care plan expressed this month at town hall meetings was dying down, they might be in for a surprise Saturday.

That’s when citizens are planning anti-”Obamacare” rallies across the country Saturday in all 435 congressional districts.

And their message is clear: We will not stand for socialized, government-controlled health care.

The same groups who made the “tax tea parties” possible in April are behind this weekend’s movement. American Liberty Alliance, FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity are working with The Sam Adams Alliance, among others, to stage the rallies.

Click here for more information on the rallies.

They come as town hall clashes between Democratic lawmakers and protesters of Obama’s health care plan have captured national attention. Some Democrats have dismissed those protesters as “mobs” organized by special interests. But many protesters have said they attended the town halls out of genuine concern.

Now they can express their concerns at Saturday’s rallies.

“Obviously the idea behind this was to have a unified day for those concerned about government-controlled health care to talk outside their representatives’ offices,” said Paul Miller, spokesman for The Sam Adams Alliance, a Chicago-based political organization which is one of several groups promoting the event through new media.

Miller said this is a personal issue for many opponents, including himself, a 22-year cancer survivor. Miller, who was diagnosed with a rare cancer at the age of 14 and had his right arm amputated to save his life, says he would not have received the same specialized and speedy medical care if the government was in control.

“There isn’t this great conspiracy to say there shouldn’t be health care reform,” Miller told FOXNews.com. “People just want to make their own decisions and keep their insurance if they like. When government’s get involved, they never do anything right.”

Eric Odom, executive director for American Liberty Alliance, the lead group behind the tea parties and the new rallies told FOXNews.com that the rallies differ from the tea parties in that they are being organized from the bottom up.

“We didn’t want to try and do what we did on April 15 because the logistics was a nightmare,” he said, explaining that local organizers now have more control over the rallies and have only received basic information from the top.

“People at the local level have taken it and created their own animal with it,” he said. “This is more bottom heavy.”

Odom shrugged at the fact that most of the lawmakers won’t be present at their offices on a Saturday because he said the ultimate goal is to get more people politically engaged.

“This Saturday is symbolic,” he said, adding that his group will e-mail information to rally-goers on how to air their concerns to their representatives. “Most of these people have never done anything political in their lives.”

Phil Kerpen, director of policy for Americans for Prosperity, cautioned that it’s “impossible to predict” the turnout at these rallies “because it’s very decentralized.”

“It could be another big success,” he said, or the crowds could be scaled back. Kerpen said the packed town halls this month don’t provide much indication either.

“I think there’s no better place to make your voice heard and make an impact when you get face to face with your congressman,” he said. “The impetus is greater to show up there than here.”

Jacki Schechner, spokeswoman for Health Care for America Now (HCAN), a coalition of groups supporting Obama’s health care plan, said the rallies are a waste of time.

“There is no government-controlled health care on the table,” she said. “They’re protesting something that doesn’t exist.

“There’s a lot of people out there feeding lies and misinformation and trying to get people hyped up about something that doesn’t exist. They’re wasting their energy.”

Odom found irony in the objections raised by proponents of health care reform.

“It’s interesting that the world’s most professional organizers are upset that we’re organizing communities,” he said.

But Odom said he hasn’t gotten a lot of pushback.

“Surprisingly, I don’t think they take this very seriously,” he said. But he said what separates his organizers from many of Obama’s supporters, including Health Care for America Now (HCAN), is the passion.

“For them it’s business as usual. It’s what they’re paid to do,” he said.

Schechner said the differences between the two sides goes beyond money.

“We didn’t pop up over night,” she said, noting that the group’s campaign began last summer. “We don’t scream. We’re not angry.”

She rejected the notion that community organizers who are paid lack passion. “There are different kinds of passion,” she said.

Schechner added, “I don’t discount their passion. I don’t ever want to undermine their passion. But I really wish they would take a moment to really understand what this legislation is about, because a lot of people would be helped by it.”

But Kerpen said it’s clear that Obama’s plan would lead to a government takeover.

“Read the legislation that’s been proposed,” he said, adding that the House bill has been “designed as an achievable way to reach a single-payer system,” in which the government acts as the sole middle man with greater leverage to negotiate prices. “A lot of people are playing games, as we would expect them to.”

The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I have reviewed the entire Constitution and find healthcare nowhere in the “enumerated” list, therein, where We The People gave the U.S. Government the authority to engage in any form of public health insurance. I counted seventeen items in the Constitutional “list” of things WE “allowed” the U.S. Government the “privilege” to handle for us. I find that the vast majority of the powers several Administrations and both houses of Congress from both Parties have usurped, over the course of the last nine decades, which has resulted in utter Constitutional contempt, heinous tyranny and massive spending of our earnings, by confiscation through “Federal withholding and payroll taxes”, numerous methods of other taxation and TRILLIONS of Dollars of “public debt”, are not in the list. According to the 10th Amendment, from our cardinal laws of the land, as We The People wrote, established and ordained on all members of the U.S. Government, that makes them scofflaws subject to at least imprisonment or prosecution of treason.

Such despotism has lead to an economic plight for our near future as well as our children and grandchildren that are so ominous it could be termed financial devastation.

Being in attendance at the Congressman Kagen Marinette, WI “listening session” I have reason to believe that I am not alone in my findings. I hope that Dr. Kagen re-reads OUR law that he is under OATH to support and defend against all enemies both foreign and Pelosi, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion. - – Capt.

The Liberty Tree Lantern has received reports that Dr. Steve Kagen has been seen walking around like a zombie after the two “listening sessions” in Green Bay and Appleton Wisconsin Monday and Tuesday.

Here are some of the discussions that we have been able to procure for our readership regarding Wisconsin Congressman Steve Kagen and his fellow Democrats and their behaviors with regards to the Healthcare Bill / Healthcare Reform HR 3200, TARP, TALF, Bailouts, Corporate takeovers, Nationalization of companies, private companies “fusing in with Government”, Stimulus packages, Cap-n-tax, pork barrel, all sorts of “free” social services and healthcare for ILLEGAL Immigrants throughout America, and all manner of Socialism, Communism and Fascism under the Voodoo of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid :

Above: Local northeastern Wisconsin citizens talking about Congressman Steve Kagen and Congresswoman Priestess Nancy Pelosi Healthcare Voodoo

How is our U.S. economy going to survive Social Security and Medicare, $90 Trillion Dollars in UNFUNDED Liabilities, over the infinite horizon, just for these TWO programs alone? ? ? How are we going to afford another Ponzi scheme like NATIONALIZED “free” Healthcare?

Somehow I think only a zombie under the Hoodoo and Voodoo of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi could live with anymore “free stuff” from the U.S. Government. How are we citizens going to afford all of the “free stuff” like Social Security and Medicare and all manner of other free stuff like “Cash for Clunkers” when the bill comes due in a year or two? What are we citizens going to do when they take the costs for all of this “Free Stuff” out of our paychecks next year in the form of Federal Withholding to the tune of 80% or more of our earnings? Then we will all be Zombie Socialists with nowhere to run.

Such passion Dr. Kagen. I’m not sure you got the message these caring and concerned constituents were sharing.

When asked how you were going to pay for any health care reform bill coming out of Congress, you said you would find $800B - $1T wasted. Wow. When asked if you will vote for health care reform if the majority of your constituents oppose the bill, you took a big sidestep – “It’s [the final bill] something that doesn’t exist yet.”

by: FoxPolitics.net

8/5/2009Thank you for listening to your constituents yesterday and Monday in Green Bay and Appleton. Listening. The operative word. Unlike media suggestions (your suggestions?), the crowds were not manufactured by shady “corporate interests,” but were caring, frustrated Americans, there to listen to you because they’re desperately fearful about the future of their beloved country – and the future we’re building here for our kids.I was moved by the passion – and I hope you were too. 300 people filled that auditorium a half hour before your meeting’s start time in both Green Bay and Appleton hearings. Perhaps next time your staff can find you a larger room, so that 300 or 400 constituents need not be locked out.As an aside sir, it’s interesting that I knew of your meeting schedule from friends and neighbors. In talking with the Steelworkers Union member (the emblem proudly emblazoned on his shirt) sitting behind me, I learned he received an email invitation from your office. You have my email sir, as I’ve contacted your office numerous times. You have my email sir, as I receive pleas for dollars from your campaign committee at the close of every campaign reporting period. Why didn’t I receive a notice of your “listening session” in Appleton?

Such passion Dr. Kagen. I’m not sure you got the message these caring and concerned constituents were sharing.

When asked how you were going to pay for any health care reform bill coming out of Congress, you said you would find $800B – $1T wasted. Wow. When asked if you will vote for health care reform if the majority of your constituents oppose the bill, you took a big sidestep – “It’s [the final bill] something that doesn’t exist yet.”

When a constituent said she heard the benefits of the medicine you and Congress are prescribing, now could you please share with us the side effects, you shrugged her off repeatedly, unable to “explain the whole thing because it will raise controversy.” Well, that surely is being honest, Rep. Kagen. Wow.

Rick Sense, writing for his “The Inside Scoop,” shares further goings-on from yesterday’s gathering.

Some of [Rep. Kagen’s] less than stellar moments included a claim that “the United States Senate is the real enemy” and that he believes it is “unconstitutional” for a pharmacy to be able to charge different people different prices for the same medication (ever buy a used car Rep. Kagen?). When asked if he would support healthcare legislation despite the majority of his constituents being opposed to it, he first replied, “Well, let me explain the legislative process to you,” later adding the cliché “these are complex issues” and ending his answer with, “I will vote for the best interest of our constituents.” At one point, obviously frustrated, Kagen yelled at a constituent, “How dare you!” during an exchange with a member of the audience on how to possibly help a different audience member facing the tough prospect of covering healthcare costs with her husband out of work.

Yes sir, the majority of your constituents understand the need for reforms in our health care system. But no sir, the majority of your district is not in favor of huge new federal bureaucracies taking over health care in America.

You are well aware of those needed changes sir – and indeed have advocated for them.

Incentivize self-reliance and individual responsibility. More of us must understand what our health care is costing us before we care about what health care is costing us.

Incentive individual responsibility via extensive price and quality transparency.

Incentivize wellness

Help us make good choices by standardizing basic health insurance policies

Support modified community rating and yes, require that insurance be available for those with pre-existing conditions.

Hold your ground sir. You are not beholding to Speaker Pelosi or President Obama or any of your congressional colleagues. You sir, are beholding to us. The majority of your district does not want government running their health care. The majority of your district believes HR 3200 or anything like it must be scrapped and substituted with much more basic changes that will control costs in the system and build on individual – not government – responsibilities.

Democrats, the Obama Administration and some media outlets have “publically” called northeastern Wisconsin citizens protesting the healthcare bill at Congressman Steve Kagen (D-WI) listening sessions in Green Bay and Appleton, “manufactured”. In the following video you can clearly see that the U.S. Government and U.S. Congressmen are completely dismissing the citizen’s in N.E.
50 nightmares that will become realitiy by LAW should we allow the Constitutional scofflaw despots in both houses of Congress to pass the "Pubic Option" Socialized Healthcare bill.

If you thought rationalized healthcare was bad for America before you knew what was in the bill, it is even worse than you thought now that we are beginning to know what it actually includes. Is this the change you wanted for yourself? your family? Do you really want the Government deciding what is best for you and your family? Speak Out America and Do It NOW!

50 nightmares that will become realitiy by LAW should we allow the Constitutional scofflaw despots in both houses of Congress to pass the “Pubic Option” Socialized Healthcare bill:

1) Pg 22 mandates that the Government will audit books of ALL EMPLOYERS that self insure. So every employer in the United States will be subjected to a health insurance audit just as all taxpayers are subject to audit. Of course, we will have to pay for an entire new bureaucracy to do this–the Internal Health Revenue Service?

2) Pg 30, Sec 123 states that there will be a government committee that decides what treatments you are allowed and what your overall benefits are.

3) Pg 29, lines 4-16 basically mandates the rationing of health care as is being done in Canada.

4) Pg 42 recognizes the power of the Health Choices Commissioner to determine your health benefits. You will have no choice.

5) PG 50, section 152 states that free, taxpayer-paid health care will be given to the 30 million non-citizens in the USA, even illegal aliens.

6) Pg 58 states that government will have possession of all your health care records & history including finances and you will have to have a National ID Healthcard.

7) Pg 59, lines 21-24 gives direct access to your banks accounts to compel you to pay any out-of-pocket or premium costs electronically without your previous consent.

PG 65, sec 164 provides for a political payoff from the Democrats and Obama; a special subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions community groups like ACORN.

9) Pg 72, lines 8-14 creates a Health Care Exchange to bring private health insurance plans under government control. This part of the bill reveals Obama’s lies about being able to keep your plan if you like it. Any health insurance plan which does not completely rework itself to conform to these regulations will be dropped from the exchange and those insured will have to pick one of the plans in the exchange. This is why the Congressional Budget Office determined that over 20 million will lose the coverage they are now enjoying if Obamacare is implemented.

10) PG 85, line 7 provides specifics for benefit levels for all health plans, giving government the right to ration everyone’s healthcare.

11) PG 91, lines 4-7 mandates that doctor’s offices, clinics and hospitals provide language-appropriate services, basically ordering them to hire translators at the expense of the American taxpayer.

12) Pg 95, lines 8-18 allows the government to hire non-profit community groups like ACORN and Americorps to sign up people for the government health plan.

13) PG 85, line 7 provides for specifics on benefit levels for Medicare recipients, basically rationing the care of every senior citizen I the United States.

14) PG 102, lines 12-18 mandates that all Medicaid eligible will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid based upon income and insurance status. No choice.

15) Pg 124, lines 24-25 states that no private company or individual can have the right to sue the federal government for medical price fixing, basically eliminating your right to seek redress in the courts regarding your medical care.

16) Pg 127, lines 1-16 dictates doctors’ payment and therefore income which will reduce what doctors earn and lead to greater shortages of doctors and more rationing of care.

17) Pg 145, line 15-17 any employer not currently insuring their employees must enroll employees into public plan option, with no choice of private insurance allowed.

18) Pg 126, lines 22-25 mandates that employers must pay for health insurance even for part-time workers and their families, which will certainly lead to massive layoffs.

19) Pg 149, lines 16-24 all employers with an annual payroll bigger than $400k who does not pay to enroll employees in public insurance option will pay an 8% tax on all payroll.

20) Pg 150, lines 9-13 mandates that employers with an annual payroll between $251K & $400K who does not pay to enroll employees in public insurance option will pay a 2-6% tax on all payroll.

21) Pg 167, lines 18-23 any individual who is self-employed and does not have health insurance will be taxed 2.5% of income and forced to accept public health insurance. So paying for health care out of pocket will be banned from the face of the earth.

22) Pg 170, lines 1-3 exempts non-resident aliens from the individual health care taxes, so Americans citizens will pay for these aliens, legal and illegal alike.

23) Pg 195 officers & employees of the new Health Care Administration will have access to all Americans personal financial records and accounts.

24) PG 203, line 14-15 actually says that “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax.” Yes, it says that.

25) Pg 239, line 14-24 mandates that available physician services will be reduced for Medicaid recipients. Many poor people including many seniors will be affected.

26) Pg 241, line 6-8 mandates that all doctors receive the same pay, regardless of specialty. This will vastly reduce the number of specialists available in the United States, a common problem where medicine is socialized like Canada.

27) PG 253, line 10-18 allows the federal government to set the value of doctor’s time, professional judgment.

28) PG 265, Sec 1131 mandates and controls the productivity of all health care providers including surgeons!

29) PG 268, Sec 1141 regulates the rental & purchase of power driven wheelchairs.

30) PG 272, Sec. 1145 regulates the operation of certain types of cancer hospitals, again rationing the care of cancer patients.

31) Page 280, Sec 1151 allows the government to penalize hospitals for what is deemed to be preventable readmissions. So instead of being sued for malpractice, the government will be the punitive body when mistakes are made.

32) Pg 298, lines 9-11 mandates that if a doctor treats a patient during initial admission and that result in a re-admission, the doctor will be subject to federal penalties. Gee do you think that’s going to drive up the cost of malpractice.

33) Pg 317, lines 13-20 will create prohibitions on ownership and investment in the health service industry for doctors.

34) Pg 317-318, lines 21-25, and 1-3 will prohibit the expansion of all hospitals.

35) pg 321, lines 2-13 allows hospitals apply for an exception to the expansion rule but they must seek community input first!

36) Pg335, lines 16-25, Pg 336-339 mandates the establishment of outcome based health care and insidious idea that actually limits the treatment choices made by patients with their doctors, based upon the patient’s health and condition. This will result in the oldest, weakest and sickest patients being denied treatments simply because the statistics for success in their demographic category are poor! This is a form of health care rationing that will save money at the expense of seniors to help buy insurance for the uninsured, most of whom are young and healthy!

37) Pg 341, lines 3-9 allows the government to disqualify Medicare Advantage Plans and HMO forcing people into the government run public plan.

38) Pg 354, Sec 1177 will arbitrarily restrict the enrollment of special needs children and adults.

39) Pg 379, Sec 1191 mandates the creation of even more bureaucracy in the Telehealth Advisory Committee.

40) PG 425, lines 4-12 mandates “Advance Care Planning Consultation,” another insidious vehicle to save money by encouraging seniors who are in poor health to be more accepting of death rather than fighting to stay alive and healthy and with their loved ones.

41) Pg 425, lines 17-19 mandates that all senior patients will be consulted regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney.

42) PG 425, lines 22-25, 426 lines 1-3 provides an approved list of end of life resources, to help guide seniors about the process of dying!

43) PG 427, lines 15 mandates program for orders on the end of life, actually giving the government a say in how your life ends!

44) Pg 429, lines 1-9 dictates the frequency with which an Advance Care Planning Consultant will have to meet with patients as their health deteriorates.

45) PG 429, lines 10-12 give an Advance Care Planning Consultant the power to order end of life plans for a patient.

46) Pg 429, lines 13-25 will only allow certain doctors, not necessarily your own physician, to write an end of life order.

47) PG 430, lines 11-15 allows the government to decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life.

48) Pg 469 mandates “Community Based Home Medical Services” through non profits like ACORN. Happy yet that we elected a community organizer to the White House?

49) PG 489, Sec 1308 force taxpayers to pay for Marriage & Family therapy under the public insurance plan.

50) Pg 494-498 allows government to define mental illnesses and what services will be allowed to treat, again rationing this care.

Congressman Kagen:

I wouldn’t even take the time to write but I am beginning to believe you really care about us, despite some misconceptions in idealism you sometimes convey, because of the town hall meeting you conducted via telephone last night. I believe you are really trying and I appreciate that.
So I am going to take the time to inform you as of the basis of all of our financial and many of our societal problems. I can’t write everything here, but I can give you a basis from which to further deliberations toward real solutions for our economic dilemma.
First of all, all Congressmen need to START with the fact that mankind cannot print wealth out of thin air through the use of paper and ink. Only our creator can create blessings and wealth out of thin air or the void of space. Until you get that into your head you can forget ever trying to fix our nightmare. It has been Congress and the largest private company on Earth trying to play God, first and foremost through the Constitutionally contemptuous passage of The Federal Reserve Act of 1913, by a handful of corrupt Congressmen held over by President Wilson on either Christmas Eve or the day before, while all of the honorable Congressmen were out-of-town and multiple Constitutionally contemptuous legislation since that point that has caused our plight we have today and before us.
Secondly, in order to resolve our economic plight the U.S. Congress must obey all the laws of The Constitution, especially with regards to the 9th and 10th Amendments and the balance of the ‘enumerated’ powers clauses of The Constitution. Both houses of Congress must accept the ensuing consequences on the size and scope of Government as a result of obeying the law with in these clauses. I think you know what that means, or I sure hope you do. The Federal Government is supposed to do little more than be an Agent of the FREE, independent and sovereign States and so the States are not suppose to be Agents of nor do the bidding of the Federal Government.
America, financially speaking, is like an air tight vault (leave free trade out for this conversation). In this small room we have an 800 pound gorilla, the Government, and the rest of us. You have sucked all the financial air out of the room and we the people are suffocating because you are “usurping” up all of our economic air and power of a “free” people, as never intended by our founding fathers.
The TARP and this additional stimulus are only going to make things far worse because you are “allowing” The Fed to print wealth out of thin air again. Don’t you even realize how blasphemous this is? Certainly you realize that there has to be some reasonable level of “hard” assets backing up at least some major portion of those FEDERAL RESERVE “NOTES” (I.O.U.s). So within three years Congress is going to have to withhold far more taxes out of all American’s paychecks. And, you know it! Now add Social Security and Medicare to these costs plus the costs to run the non-Constitutional scope of Government and you have big trouble as a result of The Federal Reserve (private banking company) and Socialist programs and blasphemous “we’re God” so we can give out “free stuff” to our constituents like Socialist thinking of elected officials. Socialism has never and will never work in the entire universe, because it takes the creator of the universe out of the equation. Additionally it immorally takes the need for man to show goodwill toward man because “government” will take care of them.
Now, in addition, and I know you realize this because I heard you mention it during the telephonic town hall meeting last night, what is going to be the true value of the dollar after you have “The Fed” print TRILLIONS upon TRILLIONS of FEDERAL RESERVE “NOTES” in terms of inflation? You give this “out of thin air” paper and ink wealth to whomever you choose, like Big Bankers, Big Business and who knows who else, because they are too rich to fail. The fact is this collapse of what I call “The Matrix”, the economy that only exists in our minds as we have been programmed to believe in public schools, the main stream media, the U.S. Government and “The Fed”, much like the movie, is supported by little more than monopoly money, with little in the vault in hard assets, to support these “NOTES”. The economy is not collapsing for the reasons you think, it is collapsing to correct itself to the true out of “The Matrix” value of the dollar. The only way to regain our freedom, individual prosperity and blessings from God to restore that which we “thought” we had is to let “The Matrix” collapse and rebuild it with hard work and our God blessed natural resources through the strict enforcement of The Constitution in full force and effect upon the U.S. Government.
Bottom line: To resolve this peacefully you need to admit to all of the unconstitutional actions Congress has done for the past nine decades and reverse each and every one of them. The false economy based on printed out of thin air wealth has to be allowed to “correct” completely, as bad as that is going to be and Government needs to obey the law in the Constitution which will result in us keeping our earnings so that we the people can get to work, in the blessings and shear power of freedom, to undo what Congress has done to our economy, to us and to God.
If Congress does not come clean, with every single tenet of the Constitution, word for word, to the spirit, intent and meaning, as it ‘WAS’ meant on the day it was ratified before all the legalize spin and judicial activism, the people will through financial hardship become motivated to learn the true meaning of freedom and how it results in individual prosperity and happiness. Because of the motivation of hunger and hardship we will learn of our American history, heritage and unique American religious culture and the comparison of the results other non-freedom / socialist governments with regards as to how those forms of government always end up like we are headed to now because of Congress implementing those very same type of socialist policies and playing God. We the people will learn that it has always been up to us individually to educate our children as to the science of government, to enforce our laws that we placed upon Government to protect our earnings and our economy which is protected by freedom.
If you really want to help us, you must help our countrymen to understand all the legislation and actions Congress has done through the last nine decades, that were not completely and entirely Constitutional, why and how that is causing our economic plight and what you are going to do to reverse it, meaning only have Government do those things specifically enumerated in the constitution and that, thereby, we and our economy will be able to keep our earnings, which are created only by the sweat of man and the blessings of God and not the printing presses of the largest most powerful privately owned corporation in the world, which is as “federal” as Federal Express.

If you want to help us, let us be as free as the Constitution orders you, let the economy reset, and get out of our way. What you need to understand is that you and your legislations and stimulus / TARP are standing in the way of God and freedom. And that is not advisable. You see, God is on the side of the free and the brave because true freedom leaves individual fate, free choice and the result of it in the creator’s hands, where it belongs.
America might not know it yet nor understand it, but this is the change we are looking for. But my fellow countrymen will soon come to know of the horrors of the “free stuff” of socialism, like Social Security, Medicare, Universal Health Care (?) and all of the “social” programs that try to take the “need” for God and personal individual care and goodwill out of our lives. We will learn that taking “free individual choice” out of our lives by Congress is not only the loss of freedom, but also results in the loss of earnings and personal property to those making the decisions for us.
Personally, I don’t think that you or anybody in Congress has the will or the spirit to reverse the course you and your predecessors have placed us on, the march toward the valley of darkness of socialism. But, I think that is okay, because it is not up to you, it is up to we the people to enforce the laws that we did ordain and establish on Congress. We have a lesson to learn, and learn it we are. Once this economic and science of government and history course along with the necessary economic spanking of probable divine providence is over, we will be coming to teach Congress the lessons we have learned which is to take care of our personal responsibilities as a people to enforce OUR laws on you and to make sure that our posterity is taught the true meaning and canons of freedom. Mark my words, the day will come, if you do not change course and comply with the entirety of the Constitution word for word, when the entire land of the free and home of the brave come to employ our education.
BTW; You could start with complying with the 1st Amendment which states: Congress shall make no law… abridging the right of the people to petition the government for a redress of grievances. We The People Congress has served you with a Legal Notice and Demand to honor this amendment a few months ago. If you really cared about our economy and The Constitution you would at least address our petition of grievances. I heard that many in the Government think that our founding fathers wrote this provision in the 1st Amendment for their health rather than for the Government to actually redress such direct Constitutional grievances as the one We The People Congress have submitted to you. Do you think that our founding fathers wrote the right to petition provision for you to ignore it? Or, will you address our petition?

BY MITCH ALBOM
FREE PRESS COLUMNIST
OK. It’s a fantasy. But if I had five minutes in front
of Congress last week, here’s what I would’ve said:
Good morning. First of all, before you ask, I flew
commercial. Northwest Airlines. Had a bag of peanuts for
breakfast. Of course, that’s Northwest, which just
merged with Delta, a merger you, our government, approved –
and one which, inevitably, will lead to big bonuses for
their executives and higher costs for us. You seem to be OK
with that kind of business.
Which makes me wonder why you’re so against our kind of
business? The kind we do in Detroit. The kind that gets your
fingernails dirty. The kind where people use hammers and
drills, not keystrokes. The kind where you get paid for
making something, not moving money around a board and
skimming a percentage.
You’ve already given hundreds of billions to banking
and finance companies — and hardly demanded anything. Yet
you balk at the very idea of giving $25 billion to the
Detroit Three. Heck, you shoveled that exact amount to
Citigroup — $25 billion — just weeks ago, and that place
is about to crumble anyhow.
Does the word “hypocrisy” ring a bell?
Protecting the home turf?
Sen. Shelby. Yes.
You. From Ala bama. You’ve been
awfully vocal. You called the Detroit Three’s leaders
“failures.” You said loans to them would be
“wasted money.” You said they should go bankrupt
and “let the market work.”
Why weren’t you equally vocal when your state handed
out hundreds of millions in tax breaks to Mercedes-Benz,
Hyundai, Honda and others to open plants there? Why not
“let the market work”? Or is it better for Alabama
if the Detroit Three fold so that the foreign companies –
in your state — can produce more?
Way to think of the nation first, senator r.
And you, Sen. Kyl of Arizona. You told reporters:
“There’s no reason to throw money at a problem
that’s not going to get solved.”
That’s funny, coming from such an avid supporter of the
Iraq war. You’ve been gung ho on that for years. So how
could you just sit there
when, according to the New York
Times, an Iraqi former chief investigator told Congress that
$13 billion in U.S. reconstruction funds “had been lost
to fraud, embezzlement, theft and waste” by the Iraqi
government?
That’s 13 billion, Senator. More than half of what the
auto industry is asking for. Thirteen billion? Gone? Wasted?
Where was your “throwing money at a problem that’s
not going to get solved” speech then?
Watching over the bankers?
And the rest of you lawmakers. The ones who insist the auto
companies show you a plan before you help them. You’ve
already handed over $150 billion of our tax money to AIG.
How come you never demanded a plan from it? How come when
AIG blew through its first $85 billion, you quickly gave it
more? The car companies may be losing money, but they can
explain it: They’re paying workers too much
and selling cars for too little.
AIG lost hundred of billions in credit default swaps –
which no one can explain and which make nothing, produce
nothing, employ no one and are essentially bets on failure.
And you don’t demand a paragraph from it?
Look. Nobody is saying the auto business is healthy. Its
unions need to adjust more. Its models and dealerships need
to shrink. Its top executives have to downsize their own
importance.
But this is a business that has been around for more than a
century. And some of its problems are because of that,
because people get used to certain wages, manufacturers get
used to certain business models. It’s easy to point to
foreign car makers with tax breaks, no union costs and a
cleaner slate — not to mention help from their home
countries — and say “be more like them.”
But if you let us die, you let our national spine collapse.
America can’t be a country of lawyers and financial
analysts. We have to manufacture. We need that
infrastructure. We need those jobs. We need that security.
Have you forgotten who built equipment during the world
wars?
Besides, let’s be honest. When it comes to blowing
budgets, being grossly inefficient and wallowing in debt,
who’s better than Congress?
So who are you to lecture anyone on how to run a business?
Ask fair questions. Demand accountability. But knock it off
with the holier than thou crap, OK? You got us into this
mess with greed, a bad Fed policy and too little regulation.
Don’t kick our tires to make yourselves look better.

I think you originally posted this under the wrong thread. But I am glad to have you as a reader. We need to talk these things out because according to The Constitution and the vast majority of the writings of our Founding Fathers, what is to be done is up to us, the taxpayers and the MASTERS of our “Servant” Government but within the realm of a “republic” and not a democracy (which is where 51% of the people steal from and control the other 49%). According to the Supreme Court cases quoted in other posts on this blog, the Sixteenth Amendment did not give the U.S. Government any additional taxing powers beyond what they had before it was (supposedly) ratified. The apportionment clause of the Constitution, the LAW of our land, is still, in reality, in full force and effect according to The Supreme Court. Additionally the 9th and 10th Amendment does not allow for the “Federal” Government to do anything of this “bailout” nature as it is far outside of their limited powers “enumerated” in the Constitution.

Secondly, in addition to being completely illegal for the U.S. Government to do on several Constitutional issues, the Auto Makers aren’t going anywhere and will not completely close. Trust me. All that is going to happen is chapter 11 bankruptcy which will allow sanity to prevail at the UAW and supplier levels. This is wonderful for the Big Three Automakers because they can hire back employees who will be “onboard” and get the ball and chain of Union thuggery U.S. Government supported, market out of touch wages, pensions and insane benefits that are far and above anything the common American citizen has or could ever dream of. The “king’s ransom” pension program is completely unviable and nothing less than lunacy. We all have to live within a realistic world and once we touchdown back on the planet Earth we can all proceed in “freedom”, which means, according to the majority of the Founding Fathers, means “self government” or “freedom from government”, to become INDIVIDUALLY prosperous from within a basis of reality and not perception or a Matrix like world that only exists in our minds.

Our entire country is about to undergo changes whereby “The Matrix” created by The Federal Reserve company, a cartel of twelve privately owned banks, will collapse because there have not been enough assets or resources created to support it from a “realistic” sense. There could have been enough assets and resources to support everything we have AND MORE, if the U.S. Government would have only obeyed the LAW as set forth in The Constitution. But the bastards in both houses of Congress just couldn’t resist the personal benefits of power, corruption and pure outlawism as they have been headed down the wrong path, away from freedom, since the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 with unscrupulous powerful private bankers. The fact is the vast majority of the money that the Federal Government spends is supposed to be ours and our economy’s. Just think how much more money we would have, as a people and an economy, if all the money that the Federal Government steals from us yearly which goes directly, as reported in The 1983 Grace Commission Report to President Reagan, from the IRS to a mammoth private corporation called “The Fed” for short. The U.S. Treasury gets no money from Income Taxes. They, the Federal Government, borrows all the money they spend from the BIG private bankers of The Federal Reserve, of which we additionally pay interest besides the principle.
Wake up and smell the coffee Mr. Schmidt. None of us will be able to avoid reality, sooner or later “The Matrix” that only exists in our minds, as we have been programmed by public education, the Government, and ultimately The Fed, will collapse. This is a good thing in the long run because our population will eventually realize that it is the Government that caused this entire financial crisis by not obeying The LAW to the very WORD, spirit and intent AS MEANT on THE DAY OF ITS DRAFTING and not what the creators of “The Matrix” want it to mean or corruptively twist it to mean today to further their own megalomaniac power hungry desires.

The Matrix also takes God out of the equation and I personally believe that he doesn’t appreciate that. Our prayers and hopes are being offered to the Almighty U.S. Government instead of to our Lord, who created the entire universe. If you were God, how would you feel about that?

It is time to force both houses of Congress to obey the LAW; which means that the Federal Government is hardly to even exist (see 9th and 10th amendment) but to be little more than an agent of The Free and INDEPENDENT States. State and local governments are supposed to be quite large and very powerful because we as individuals can better control them and then, additionally, we will always be able to run away from a corrupt State government that has to many goofy freedom and prosperity killing laws or taxes too much. In this way WE CAN HAVE EVERYTHING with the vast majority of us being INDEPENDENTLY prosperous “within the realm of reality” by the sweat of our brow and the blessings of Almighty God, instead of the handouts of the cold corrupt greedy disgraceful hand of a Godless Government where all the money ultimately is stolen out of our paychecks.

We have a rendezvous with destiny, a time for choosing. We, as people can choose whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves. Those who would trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state have told us they have a utopian solution of peace without victory. They call their policy “accommodation.”

Well we as a people have a choice to make. We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.
