ALG president calls upon congressional leaders to reject auto industry bailout

November 18th, 2008, Fairfax, VA –In a letter sent to top Congressional leadership today, ALG president Bill Wilson strongly urged Congress to reject the controversial taxpayer bailout for the U.S. automotive industry, specifically citing “union excesses” as a primary cause of the automotive collapse.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Republican Leader John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and President-Elect Barack Obama all received the letter regarding the potential bailout which Wilson has condemned as “a betrayal of the American taxpayer.”

“The automotive industry’s problems cannot and should not be passed on to the American taxpayer. And they will only be compounded if the federal government now offers billions of dollars of taxpayer-financed loan guarantees to companies that would otherwise file for bankruptcy,” Wilson wrote in the letter.

In the latest chapter of what Wilson has called “a dangerous slippery slope of bailouts,” Congress may vote this week on whether U.S. automakers GM, Chrysler, and Ford should be given $25 billion of taxpayer loan guarantees. Americans for Limited Government has stood by its message that the proper role of government in the free market is as little involvement as possible.

“These taxpayer loans will, by design, perpetuate these companies in their present form,” Wilson said. “However, it is the very present forms of each company that must be addressed and resolved by market forces, a process that will not occur if government gets in the way of bankruptcy.”

Wilson also condemned Congress’ failure to acknowledge the role of unions in the failures of the U.S. automotive industry. Among other issues, the letter brings to light the fact that compensation for unionized works for American automotive companies total about $73.20 per hour compared to the non-unionized Toyota’s $48 per hour. Also mentioned are the legacy costs which Wilson says can add up to $1,500 per vehicle produced.

“Everybody knows that the extreme terms that the UAW has extracted from the industry for decades on end are its greatest weakness, and that the industry will indeed fail if it cannot now bring the union excesses under control,” wrote Wilson.

Wilson said that Congress needs to reject any proposed bailout—especially those that refuse to address the role of unions in the industry’s failures. Bankruptcy, Wilson said in the letter, is what the industry needs survive and thrive.

“Bankruptcy would allow the automakers to be reorganized, and new labor terms to be worked out,” Wilson added. “The U.S. auto industry will remain uncompetitive, overburdened with legacy costs, and run in its current form if the government attempts to prevent it from failing.”

Wilson, while confident that Congress will yield to the American people’s demands to reject the proposal, is still taking the time to reach out to government leaders. “With the current pro-union legislative leadership, we still need to hold their feet to the fire,” he said.

If the Five Blind Mice AKA: “The Five Stooges” have their way the price of crude and natural gas will go WAY UP!  Do you want to be paying $8.00 per gallon of gas for your vehicle?  Do you want to pay $1,000.00 a month just to heat your home?  If not, do something!  Don’t just sit there! 

Most of the U.S. Congress is not only NOT going to help you, the majority want to hurt you and worse destroy freedom (which means freedom FROM Government).  It is their intent to make the vast majority of us dependent on them.  This is their “Prime Directive” along with a One World Government under the Trilateral Commission whose leaders and founders are the owners of the PRIVATE CORPORATION called THE FEDERAL RESERVE which is privately owned by forty mega-powerful men who have almost complete control over our Federal Government and our daily lives.  They also control and program ”The Matrix”.  The (IRS) “AGENTS” work for them, just like the “Agents” in the movie.  This fact is provable by the Grace Commission Report of 1983 to President Reagan.  Not a penny of our income taxes goes to the U.S. Government for the Services you expect.  It all goes to The Federal Reserve in the form of interest and they own your income taxes for their own private use.  When the U.S. Government begs them for more money, for all the stuff they spend money on, The Federal Reserve re-lends them our income taxes, at additional interest.  Nice business model hey?

Speak of Independence Day fireworks!  Wow.  Three piece Senator Harry Reid “stuffed suit” (pun intended) complete with polished dress shoes, tie and even eye glasses with a plaque hanging from around his neck that had a picture of him giving the finger to the American public as he spoke on the Senate floor.  Under the picture it had his quote when he said; “We will allow additional leases for you to drill for oil, to lower your gasoline prices, in The Gulf of Mexico, over my dead body!” – as apparently, according to the plaque, reported in The Washington Times.  It would appear that we have the freedom to drill for oil, to lower our gasoline and food prices, in the Gulf now.

 There were all sorts of other patriotic signs, hanging from branches and planted ground stands like: “United We Stand” with a U.S. Flag but with the yellow Gadsden Flag stickers (first flag of American Freedom) with coiled snake and “Don’t Tread On Me” on it, “God Bless America” and a bunch of other printed constitutional fact signs posted around the Liberty Tree.  I have to say; after you got over the shock of the “hanging” it was patriotic and very educational.

One of the signs indicated concerns about rising payroll taxes to cover Social Security and Medicare libilities (as Barack Obama has promised in his recent speeches regarding the need for additional taxation in his tax plan) provided detailed facts with supporting sources and talked about the resulting eroding of take home pay to support our families.  The near professionally printed sign asked how can we afford a much smaller paycheck when gasoline, energy and food prices are so high already and still climbing.

 According to accounts the Menominee, MI police came and removed the entire display about mid-morning.  Some people were distressed to see the display, while others said they could certainly understand how people could be so upset with the actions of Congress that have lead us to the point where we have lost much of our freedom, homes and prosperity by the results of Congressional intervention in the affairs of free people and business.

 The Bartenders from the Pirates Cove across 1^st Street from the Menominee Memorial Park in Menominee were really shocked when they woke up and looked out the window, above the bar, to see the Senator Harry Reid effigy hanging there twisting in the gentle morning breeze.  I guess it was pretty scary.  Apparently there must be a few people in these parts that are not happy with what Congress has done to our gasoline and food prices and what they intend to do to our take home pay.

Well I guess the U.S. Government, Congress and THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM banker / owners (all forty of them) who controls and owns the U.S. Government and us American citizens need a few more assets paid for by stealing even more money in “withholding” from our paychecks.  Sure the idea that the Democrats in Congress have is great.  Yeah, they, BIG GOVERNMENT, already charges us over 15% profit on a gallon of gasoline, far more if you include your State tax, while the “big oil” Companies only charge 4 – 8% in profit per gallon.  That is half or less of what the BIG GOVERNMENT take is.  Never mind that the shareholders of “big oil” are the general American public, you know, We The (peon) People who have pension programs, 401ks, and general investments in “big oil” so we can actually retire with some money we can count on. 

Oh, but,  yeah, we have Social Security and Medicare we can depend on because it is from “The Government”; yeah right!  We can “no doubt” trust BIG Government, hey? 

Sure Social Security and Medicare (ALONE) are only in the hole by $90,000,000,000,000.00 DOLLARS, in UNFUNDED liabilities, over the infinite horizon, as reported by The Washington Times.  (I wonder where that money is going to come from.  Are any of you able to take a stab at where the money for that $90 TRILLION, is going to come from?  Any guess at all? 

Sure, good idea, let’s let the U.S. Government “Directly” control our oil and gas supply!  I trust BIG Government that they won’t ration out gasoline and diesel to who “they think” deserves it.  Don’t you?  You trust them that if you are not paying “your fair share” of taxes that they won’t shut off your heat and light, don’t you?  No, they would never do anything like that to you, would they?  Heck they don’t raid your business and homes with guns and SWAT teams if you don’t pay “your fair share” of income taxes now do they?  Sure, we can all trust BIG GOVERNMENT.   They won’t even demand more in taxes for the “services” they do for us in getting out the oil, will they?

 Maybe our country can get even more in debt to THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM so they can take all of our cars, trucks and homes away from our families, so that we can sit on the street corner holding the hands of our children and look at the pretty trees lining the street and wondering how wonderful the leaves would be to eat.  Gee wouldn’t that be special!

Sure, we can trust the U.S. BIG GOVERNMENT.  Let’s see, what do they call that when “The State” owns the companies.  Let’s see, I believe they call that COMMUNISM.  Sure, we can “trust” them.  We voted for them to represent us, right?  And Communism MURDERED how many people on our planet?  OVER ONE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!  Good Idea!  Let’s trust Government, so we don’t have anything to worry about.  I will be able to sleep better now.  And, who knows, the way it’s going maybe BIG GOVERNMENT will help me to Rest In Peace.

 I am so mad about the FACT that Congress doesn’t care about We The People who not only are they supposed to

represent, but they are supposed to be OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS!

Skip, We can not afford to let these tyrants get away with this!  We have to “e pluribus Unum” their arses!   The American people must rise up!  If we lose our prosperity to these despots, we may very well lose our Constitution, our FREEDOM, our American Culture and our prosperity, forever. 

I HAVE strong evidence that THE FEDERAL RESERVE, and their “good old boys Club of cronies” called The Trilateral Commission www.trilateral.org are behind all of this.   Their primary mission is to develop a One World Government with the forty guys who own The Federal Reserve completely in charge of the world wide Socialist “Matrix”  where they tax every breath taking human being and redistribute wealth according to their own dictates.  There are things going on in the world right now and in The United States that is absolutely so insane and what we would believe to be impossible in the “real” world that it is hard to fully grasp or comprehend.   For example the NAFTA Super Secret Highway, which is up to 4 Football Fields – end to end wide (1200 yards wide) that is being built by confiscating Thousands of Square MILES of private land through the “Eminent Domain” process – land being stolen from private INDIVIDUAL citizens all the way from Mexico to Canada, by the U.S. Government operating under orders by THE FEDERAL RESERVE who, according to The Grace Commission Report, by a Blue Ribbon panel setup by President Reagan, collects and owns for their own private company use, every last nickel of American Income Tax Dollars!  Why the hell are we paying a PRIVATE COMPANY income taxes?  They can all go to hell as far as I am concerned!  What are we, as a FREE people, doing to ourselves by allowing this?  All we have to do, AS A FREE people, is put our feet down and say NO!  The U.S. Government and both houses of Congress are our SERVANTS not our Masters!

 Now, let me get this straight, as to the implications of what we know to be true from the Grace Commission Report:

1. The U.S. Government doesn’t get a single nickel of Taxpayer Income Taxes, for the services we believe they are supposed to do, because it is primarily sucked up by interest payments owed to The Federal Reserve and used for income tranfer payments.  So,
2. They don’t get any money from us American Citizens, what-so-ever, that is used for the operations of the U.S. Government.
3. The U.S. Government needs TRILLIONS of Dollars to function as it does with the size of it.
4. The only entity that The U.S. Government can get ANY money is from the PRIVATE banker of THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM, a cartel of 12 PRIVATE banks which is owned and “closely held” by only forty mega-powerful people.
5. The U.S. Government has to get every penny they exist on from THE FEDERAL RESERVE which is a PRIVATE company that is as “Federal” as Federal Express, and without that money they would be instantly and factually shut down.
6. Because the Federal Reserve is a “private” company they have the right to refuse lending to anybody or entity they don’t want to or feel is too risky, including the U.S. Government.
7. What happens to the U.S. Government, considering the above facts as reported by The Grace Commission which is publically available from several sources (here is one: http://www.uhuh.com/taxstuff/gracecom.htm , if the FEDERAL RESERVE decides not to fund it for whatever reason they want?
8. What if the U.S. Government doesn’t do what THE FEDERAL RESERVE “advises”?  Do they stop funding the U.S. Government?  They can!
9. So who is in control of The U.S. Government if they don’t get a single nickel of our tax dollars, but rather, solely receives money funded by THE FEDERAL RESERVE (a private company)?
10. How much interest profits does THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM make from this arrangement, unconstitutionally setup, by the U.S. Congress as a direct cost to all American taxpayers, get anyway?  Wouldn’t it be nice if we could keep OUR OWN MONEY from our EARNINGS?  What the heck is the matter with us?  Why are we putting up with this insanity?

Thanks for the info, Skip, and check out my blog.  Man, I can’t tell you how mad I am with both houses of Congress.  And the level of temper raises with each time I fill my fuel tank!  I think Congress and the rest of the U.S. Government are trying to weaken us financially and spiritually to prepare to give us “The Final Ultimatum”.  With what Congress is doing to us with the price of gasoline and all energy, under the TOTAL B.S. of “Global Warming” being caused by mankind, I honestly believe they are out to get us and place us in the chains and bondage of “The Matrix” taxation vats of a Socialist One World Government, where they, THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM draws super financial energy from us, program us, where we have NO WHERE to run, no place to escape, and where resistance is futile.
